You may not have noticed, but the robot invasion continues to expand into our movies and TV shows. Case in point: Robot Combat League, a new competition show on SyFy that features human controlled robots battling for superiority. It’s basically Mattel’s Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots game (and/or the movie Reel Steel) come to life. WWF/E champ Chris Jericho hosts the show which airs every Tuesday night at 10/9c - and if you'd like a taste, check out this clip:

Does that matter? No, it does not. The sandwich is designed to be made easily and provide enough nutrition to carry you on until you can make a trip to the grocery. Here's the ingredients: 

• White bread
• Peanut butter
• Nutella
• 1 banana
• 2 slices of bacon
• Butter

There is no one on this planet that does not enjoy some Coffee Granita. The Italian dessert is simply a joy to both coffee addicts and dessert lovers alike. The semi-frozen delight is loosley related to the ever popular  sorbet and italian ice. However, this treat is much more coarse and has a crystal-like texture that leaves a rough, but splendid taste on the tounge. This coarse texture makes the Granita a unique dessert that you would expect to find on Knife Fight or any other top cooking show. Pair this rough dessert with some coffee flavoring and you have caffeinated heaven. How do you make this delicious ice masterpiece? • 2/3 cup of superfine sugar

I'm happy to report that you can and its relativley easy. In fact, you don't even need to be an experienced Knife Fight chef to cook it. • 1 8oz can of "El Pato" tomato sauce

What if you could talk to a person after they were murdered? That's the concept of this short film,"The Final Moments of Karl Brant," starring actor Paul Reuben. The story follows a young researcher who is brutally murdered while working on a mysterious device that allows him to upload his conscience. The short turns the traditional murder mystery genre on its head when two police officers assigned to his murder end up interviewing the man himself. I won't spoil anything, but you should definitely watch this one until the very end. 

You don't always have to go on a vacation to escape the busy city life. Why not build your own retreat in the comfort of your backyard? I've never had oyster stew in my life. Honestly, I never even planned on ever having oyster stew. The hard-shelled creature has never looked that appetizing to me. So, it's a little surprising that I suddenly have a craving for all things oyster after reading this amazing recipe from Esquire.  Trust me, this delicous stew will make anyone an oyster convert . The ingredients are relativley simple, and don't call for anything too exotic (I'm looking at you, Knife Fight). The bicyle culture has grown exponetially over the past decade. A hobby that began as a simple way to get aroudn town has turned into a vibrant culture of bicycle enthusiasts. You can't have spaghetti without a full dish of metaballs. A favorite amongst families and bachelors alike, the meatball has been around for decades and is a staple in American cuisine. Golf is a boring sport. But that doesn't mean that it can't be a little more exciting when paired with a luxrious vacation. • 2 tbsp of salt
• 2 tbsp paprika
• 1 tbsp ground black pepper
• 1/2 ground coriander

See that? Not that impossible to make. 

OK, so it's not exactly a vacation, but the "Man Games" is something that any athlete would consider a relaxing day. Did I say relaxing? Sorry, I meant absolutely brutal and awesome. This isn't something that you'd see featured on a TV show like The Getaway, but that doesn't mean it won't help relieve some of that work-day stress. "The Man Games" is a national competition series composed of 12 challenges that will challenge those who call themselves "hardcore." What kind of challenges? Well, how about a 200 yard sprint through an obstacle course compsoed of ice & fire?

Oh, and that's just the warmup. Other challenges include an all-out paintball war, chasing a pig through a knee-deep mud pool, and being launched through the air via a human slingshot. Yes, I said slingshot.  The pricing is relativley cheap and you're guarnteed to at least do something that you've only dreamt of while watching a Die Hard marathon. So return those plane tickets to Paris, sweetheart. It's time to get out there and take a real vacation.
