Kaya Scodelario has wed her fiancé of one year, Benjamin Walker.

The 23-year-old Maze Runner actress announced in low-key fashion earlier this month that she was now a married woman when she shared an image of bride and a groom wedding cake toppers.

The announcement was so low-key that fans only found out about the milestone recently.

'Happy New Year everyone,' she captioned the Instagram snap. 'Here's to 2016 being filled with love, laughter and cake for everyone!'

Kaya made it official with a winter wedding over the holidays, according to People, and has been sharing images from her action-packed and romantic honeymoon with enthusiasm ever since.

Among the snaps was a photo of herself and Benjamin, 33, at a foam party, where she cuddled up to her new husband in the bubbles and clutched two glasses.

Benjamin popped the question after six months of dating in December 2014.

The pair originally met in April 2014 when they were cast in The Moon And The Sun, but within two months had become an item.

The actress, who appears opposite Johnny Depp in the forthcoming Pirates Of The Caribbean film, has proved her devotion to Ben by getting his name tattooed on her engagement finger.

In a recent interview with Metro Online, Kaya gushed about her upcoming wedding.

She said: 'I'm very lucky. My other two best friends have also recently got engaged so all three of us are planning it together and we are all going to be each others' bridesmaids and we are helping each other through it.'

Prior to dating Benjamin, Kaya was in a long-term romance with Shameless actor Eliott Tittensor, before splitting in late 2013.

Meanwhile, Benjamin's two year marriage to Mamie Gummer - daughter of Meryl Streep - ended in early 2013.
