It may be snowing outside but inside it's Christmas again for newly-engaged Mariah Carey.

The pop superstar, who accepted her billionaire boyfriend James Packer's proposal on Thursday, spent Saturday morning getting out the tinsel and fairylights.

She and daughter Monroe Cannon, four, decorated a tree and Mariah shared a photo of it on Instagram with the caption: 'Christmas revisited...#couldntresistmakinganotherchristmastree #thoughitsjanuary.'

Happy time: The singing superstar really got into it even placing gift-wrapped presents under the brightly-lit tree

The 45-year-old singer even wore the same Hello Kitty onesie she wore on December 25 when she, Monroe and Monroe's twin brother Moroccan celebrated the holidays in Aspen, Colorado.

Mariah is a huge fan of Christmas and this December repeated a limited engagement of shows in New York where she rolled out a slew of festive songs including her hugely popular version of All I Want For Christmas.

She also shared a photo taken late Friday night of her outside next to what appeared to be a covered hot tub with the hashtag: '#awaitingthesnowontheroof.'

It's clearly an extremely happy time for Mariah who accepted a 35-carat diamond ring worth an estimated $7.5 million from her Australian beau after dating him for less than a year.

However, it seems a little legal paperwork is going to be required before they can walk down the aisle together.

Mariah is technically still married to the father of her twins, Nick Cannon, TMZ is reporting, while the 47-year-old Australian casino owner remains legally hitched to his ex, singer Erica Packer.

The couple, whose combined estimated fortune is around $3.4 billion, held their engagement party at Eleven Madison Park in New York on Thursday night.

The marriage will be Mariah's third shot at happiness, having previously spent seven years with Nick and five years with music executive Tommy Mottola.

Even though Mariah and Nick, 35, had a prenup, they are still settling the last financial issues following their August 2014 split, according to the gossip website.

James and Erica separated in 2013 after tying the knot in 2007 and share three children - daughters Emmanuelle, three, and Indigo, seven, plus son Jackson, who turns six next month.
