Kelly Osbourne looks edgy in black and white at beauty awards... as she tries to put backlash from racist remark behind her

She is doing her best to bounce back from a spat on live TV that saw her receive a scolding from fellow The View panelist Rosie Perez - and lots of backlash on Twitter - for making a racist remark.

And Kelly Osbourne was moving on as she showcased her edgy style on the red-carpet at a beauty awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The controversies of the past few weeks looked like the furthest thing from the small screen beauty's mind as she arrived at the 4th Annual Face NYX Awards.

The 30-year-old opted for a monochrome ensemble in a bang-on-trend demure white blouse - to which she added a splash of bling by way of a sparkling Chanel broach to fasten her collar.

The former Fashion Police host fully showed off her freshly clipped purple undercut, which she styled into a high quiff - that showed off her head tattoo which reads 'stories'.

She upped the glam with a pair of killer black heels, which made the most of her black satin trousers.

The daughter of reality television titans Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne caused outrage in some quarters recently when she said: 'If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?'

She made the remark as they discussed the controversial GOP presidential candidate's incendiary remarks about illegal Latino immigrants.

Rosie, who has Puerto Rican heritage, mumbled: 'Oh, that's not... oh, no!' and shook her head in disbelief.

Sensing things were tense, the purple-haired host attempted to clarify: 'In a sense, you know what I mean? In L.A. they always...' But before angry Rosie interrupted with, 'Latinos are not the only people doing that.'

Later in the show Rosie made an apology to Kelly, as well as hitting social media to apologise.

She tweeted: 'My apologies @KellyOsbourne, I took your point wrong-#Trump #Latinos. My bad. Your heart is so pure & righteous. I adore you. @TheView.'
