Her break-up with Phoebe Dahl was announced just last month and shocked fans given their plans to marry.

And on Sunday, Australian star Ruby Rose shared an interesting post to social media about being single which referred to cheating.

Ruby, 29, shared - and later deleted - a meme of a baby peacefully sleeping to her more than 6.3 million Instagram followers, reading: 'How I sleep knowing that I'm single and nobody cheating on me [sic].'

Ruby opted to leave the caption of her post blank, besides from using sleeping emoticons.

The post was only online for a short time, with the Orange Is The New Black star quickly removing it from her page hours later.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted both Ruby's representatives and Phoebe, 27, for comment.

The post comes after the pair announced their separation in December after almost two years together.

Ruby had confirmed their split on Twitter and Phoebe labelled it 'mutual' to US Weekly at the time.

The Melbourne-born beauty said in part of her post that Phoebe 'remains very dear to my heart' while Phoebe responded in part of her post writing 'I will always love you.'

They were engaged for 20 months but split weeks before the announcement was made.

In recent weeks, Ruby has been sharing various quotes online about love, presumably helping her to overcome her heartache.

One quote shared last week was from Melbourne author Beau Taplin.

It read: 'You completely redefine my idea of what love is and should be.

'That needn't be possessive, volatile or detrimental to your well-being, but can be selfless, gentle and consistent - and should empower you to pursue your passions.

'That it should balance and enrich a life, not tear it to pieces.'

Also last week, Ruby interestingly shared to Instagram a picture of herself with her former partner and fiancee, model Catherine McNeil.

She captioned the shot: 'Lol @catmcneil #tbt to the messiest 21st!'
