Ronda Rousey sparked rumors of an engagement on Saturday Night Live as she appeared in a photo for the show with a diamond ring on her finger.

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed what appeared to be an engagement ring in a publicity shot for the show, which was sent out by NBC before last night's program.

'Did Ronda Rousey get engaged? Check out the ring finger guys!' asked one keen follower on Twitter.

Is that a ring on her finger? A promo released to hype Saturday Night Live featuring UFC's Ronda Rousey as the host, has led to speculation that she may be enagaged after fans noted a piece of jewelry on her ring finger

The ring features a good-sized diamond solitaire, and there is speculation that it is an engagement ring from UFC Heavyweight contender Travis 'Hapa' Browne.

Over the last few weeks, Rousey has become more public regarding her romantic relationship with the fellow fighter.

Rousey hasn't been down the road of matrimony before, but it seems as if she is in bliss with 'Hapa', who has been her partner for the last few months.

She looked stunning in a figure-hugging black-and-white dress and heels as she hosted the legendary comedy show.

She even showed her bravery just by being there - with the rest of New York almost completly shut down due to two-feet of snow from Winter Storm Jonas.

'They've closed Broadway, they've closed the movie theaters, they've even closed all the bars - so tonight we're literally the only show in town,' Ronda announced proudly.

Rousey, who became just the third sports woman to host hit US sketch show Saturday Night Live this weekend, was heavily criticized by fans for her conduct prior and after her knockout loss in her UFC bantamweight title fight last November.

But the 27-year-old opened up with a message to her fans on SNL, saying her opponent, Holly Holm, had deserved to win the fight.

'This is the first time I'm talking to my fans since I lost to Holly Holm in November, which, by the way, was a fight Holly deserved to win,' Rousey said on the NBC show. 'And I just wanted to take a minute to sincerely congratulate her... now that's enough!'

Rousey was undefeated prior to her UFC 193 clash with Holm.

The SNL appearance sees Rousey's first proper foray back into the public eye and the film star clearly enjoyed being in the limelight again.

'Thank you @nbcsnl for an unforgettable night. Had a blast and learned so much,' she wrote on Instagram.

'Thank you to everyone who took the time to watch and support. Hope you all enjoyed the show.'

Rousey will film a remake of cult Patrick Swayze film Road House before her return to the Octagon but plans to fight again in 2016 and says that she is only interested in a rematch with Holm.

The Olympic bronze medallist was on top form as a host and even acted as a backup dancer for musical guest Selena Gomez.

'I'm excited to be here because it's the first time I'll be live on television without getting punched in the face,' she quipped on the show.

She also joked about how some people question whether her brutal sport would damage her mental abilities, saying: 'And all of those who are worried I'm not ready to host the show because I have, like, brain damage - relax. I'm good.'

Adding that 'everything I need is on the cue cards,' the camera cut to a crew member holding up a card saying: 'Your name is Ronda Rousey'.

Wow them in a leather dress like Selena

Selena Gomez braved a blizzard to perform on Saturday Night Live in NYC. And the Hands To Myself singer didn't let a little snow dampen her style.

The brunette beauty donned a look from Lisa Perry's Pre-Fall 2016 collection along with a pair of Charlotte Olympia platform stiletto sandals.

We love Selena's patent leather dress, especially with the long sleeve white blouse layered underneath. And the gold buttons lining the front of the frock add an extra bit of embellishment that we also adore.

Perfect for the office with a pair of classic pumps or an evening out with some stiletto ankle boots, Selena hit a sartorial home run with this look. Sadly it's not in stores yet, but you can shop the brand's current offerings at Barneys by clicking right.

Then get a similar style from the edit below. Michael Kors' short sleeve version has the patent leather look down pat and it's only $135.

The monologue then cut to two crew members pretending to be ringside announcers, saying she was 'off to a great start' in the opening round of her monologue, and adding: 'She's warm yet funny - I like her chances tonight.'

Kenan Thompson was then shown as Ronda's cornerman, prepping her for her next round and telling her to go for cheap, easy lines that get applause, as Cecily Strong appeared as a ring girl holding up a sign for 'round 2.'

Another highlight was when actress and comedian Kate McKinnon pulled out her much-loved impersonation of Justin Bieber to furiously bob and weve around Rousey.

'Hey girl, you're not the only one who's got quick moves - watch me,' she said.

But Rousey then slapped around the pretend Bieber, leading McKinnon's character to break into tears and say: 'Ow, she hit me. And now I got a boo-boo girl.'

Ronda, meanwhile, used her UFC skills for her key sketch, where she played a high school girl being bullied by four mean girls after being tricked into thinking she was going on a date with the school hunk.

As the main bully, played by Vanessa Bayer, approached her calling her the 'weird new girl' and insisting she 'owns this school,' Ronda then quickly punched her in the face.

Undeterred, the bully approached again - insisting it 'din't really hurt' - just to get slapped across the face, leaving a large red hand mark, and punched again.

As she came back once again - knowing the bus was being streamed to all their friends on Periscope - Ronda then kicked her so that she fell into a stack of basketballs.

Her final attack on her as she came back for more was kneeing her in the stomach and banging her head on the table - then punching the boy who lured her there in the throat when he ran after her, clearly impressed by her fighting skills.

'One in five bullies will be a victim of Mixed Martial Arts,' the skit then claimed. 'Don't be a statistic.'

It then claimed to have been paid for by a group called BAMM - Bullies against Mixed Martial Arts.
