SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: Human rights lawyer Amal's £2,000 TV show outfit
Marrying a Hollywood film star is not the only thing that sets Amal Clooney apart from her fellow members of the Bar, for the London-based lawyer has also mastered the art of balancing human rights campaigning with her unerring love of luxury clothes.
Amal, 37, once again highlighted her taste for designer fashion appearing on a U.S. talk show to talk about her latest legal battle for former president of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed.
To discuss the topic in her 12-minute segment, Amal, above — who married George in 2014 wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown — sported a £1,111 Dolce & Gabbana dress, £105 Givenchy earrings and a pair of £690 black suede Prada boots, totalling nearly £2,000.

For most people, such luxury is confined to the pages of glossy magazines, but for Amal, it’s all in a day’s work.
Otis Ferry's ex resorts to shock tactics
Model Edie Campbell is desperate to prove she’s moved on from Bryan Ferry’s son Otis after their long-term relationship ended last year.
The 25-year-old face of Chanel is now enjoying a close friendship with London-based artist Christabel MacGreevy, with whom Edie locked lips during a David Bowie tribute party at No 5 Hertford Street in Mayfair.

As my picture, right, shows, Edie dressed up in man’s clothes and slicked-back hair to emulate the recently deceased musician. ‘Butch & Femme basically being basic,’ Christabel captioned the picture.
The pair, who set up a design company together, also enjoyed what Edie called a ‘sapphic romp around Europe’ last summer.
Glowing Millie sees red on meat
Fresh from prancing around the Maldives in a bikini, former TV personality Millie Mackintosh was eager to parade her newly tanned body at a party in London this week.
However the Quality Street heiress, left, who recently returned from her girls’ holiday, apparently forgot how to dress appropriately for England’s chilly weather.
Aside from her faux-fur stole, the 26-year-old was barely clothed as she glided up to Mayfair’s fashionable restaurant Sexy Fish in a low-cut orange maxi dress, split at the thigh to reveal her bronzed pins.

‘I really want to cut down on eating meat,’ she tells me. ‘Not just for health reasons, but for the effect it has on the environment.’
If she cares so much about the environment perhaps she shouldn’t spend so much time globetrotting.
Busted! Brooklyn's midnight date with starlet Chloe
It’s rather late for a school night. Sixth-former Brooklyn Beckham, 16, was out on the tiles at the Chiltern Firehouse until midnight, scuttling out of the restaurant by the fire escape to avoid being snapped with on-off actress girlfriend Chloe Moretz, left.
Brooklyn, above, seems to be rebelling against his fashion-conscious parents David and Victoria, dressing to unimpress in torn jeans and Adidas baseball hat.
So no wonder Moretz, 18, who allegedly faced competition for Brooklyn’s affections from fellow starlet Selena Gomez, said she is ‘keeping her options open’ when it comes to romance with the footballer’s son. That hideous pink hoodie deserves a red card.

Actress Thandie Newton has revealed that ever since her ‘painful’ Oscar snub in 1998, she no longer pays attention to awards. Her comments come amid controversy over this year’s lack of recognition for black actors. Responding to a suggestion that she and her Beloved co-stars should have received nominations, she says: ‘It was painful, but it taught me to love the process and not the accolades.’
