An overjoyed Jessica Chastain thanked her Instagram followers on Saturday after her grandmother's stolen dog was recovered.
The 38-year-old took to social media on Thursday begging for help in tracking down the Shih Tzu-poodle, who was dognapped from her granny's car while it was parked outside a McDonalds.

'REWARD! My grandma's dog, Livvy, was stolen last night from McDonald's at 2565 Springs Rd Vallejo, CA. Please forward this to anyone you know in CA,' she wrote alongside a snap of the beloved 13-year-old pooch.

On Saturday the Zero Dark Thirty star's prayers were answered, as she updated her feed to let everyone know she's been recovered.

'UPDATE: Livvy is FOUND!!!!! My grandma picked her up a couple hours ago,' she posted with a heartwarming snap of the reunited grandmother and pet.

Jessica did not mention who tipped her off, if a reward was paid out or how much.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the car window was smashed during the robbery, and her iPhone, wallet and speakers were also nicked.
It reported that the dog was spotted on Rosewood Avenue, and recognised it from the appeal.
'Someone called the owner who happened to be with us at the time,' Lt. Kevin Bartlett told the site. 'We went down with them as the finder turned it over to the owner.'
