Natalie Portman cuts an elegant figure in plunging lacy black gown as she attends Jane Got A Gun movie premiere in Paris

And Natalie Portman made sure she put on an elegant display for the premiere of her film, Jane Got A Gun, in Paris on Sunday, dazzling in a black lace gown. 

Ensuring all eyes were on her in the intricately designed dress, the 34-year-old cut a striking figure as she cosied up to co-star Joel Edgerton on the red carpet.

With a mesh overlay covering a plunging black lace dress, the Black Swan star hinted at her modest assets whilst remaining demure. 

Featuring floral design on the sleeves, the mum-of-one's toned arms were proudly on display through the sheer fabric. 

Cinched in to show off her tiny waist, the dress then billowed out at full length, skimming the floor as she walked.

Adding to the glamour, the Black Swan star held onto a small black clutch that featured a delicate bejeweled red poppy on the clasp. 

Paying close attention to detail, she teamed the subtle splash of colour to her carefully manicured glossy scarlet nails.

She wore her chestnut coloured tresses up and away from her face in an intricately designed up-do, exposing a pair of delicate silver drop down earrings. 

Keen not to overpower the dramatic gown, she kept her make-up minimal, accentuating her features with a subtle sweep of matte powder and blusher.

Framing her hazel coloured eyes with a slick of mascara, she finished off the look with a subtle hint of rosy pink gloss.

Meanwhile, Joel, 41, also held his own in the style stakes, cutting a dapper figure in a grey pinstripe suit.

Adding a splash of colour to his ensemble, the Zero Dark Thirty star donned a teal shirt with a stripey tie, as well as a pair of pointed brown shoes. 

The Australian actor seemed to be in good spirits on the evening, extending his arms out and wrapping his co-star in a big hug as they greeted each other on the red carpet.

The pair no doubt grew close on-set despite playing the awkward scenario of being scorned ex-lovers.

The Western drama sees Natalie play the headstrong Jane Hammond, who is happily married to Bill Hammond (Noah Emmerich) after being tormented by the Bishop Boys outlaw gang.

However, when the group track down her partner and attempt to kill him, the valiant star is forced to ask her ex-fiance (Joel) for help.

The film will be released in America on January 29th.
