He suits the look! Gods of Egypt star Gerard Butler looks dapper in smart black attire for cheeky shoot

He recently exchanged saucy banter with Dame Helen Mirren while presenting an award at the Golden Globes.

But on Saturday Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler proved he can get cheeky even without a leading lady, as he flirted with the cameras during a photo shoot in Los Angeles.

Standing on top of a camper van, the 46-year-old Gods Of Egypt star looked every inch the dapper gentleman as he rocked a tailored black suit with matching tie.

The suit hugged the 6ft 1in actor in all the right places and showed off his gym-honed thighs, while his crisp white shirt exposed his pec-tacular chest.

Gerard, who spent the Christmas holidays with his nearest and dearest in his native Scotland, sported designer stubble and had grown his hair just long enough for a mussed up look.   

The star, who previously dazzled as the face of men's fragrance BOSS BOTTLED, may have been working on a new campaign for Hugo Boss.

Regardless of the brand or the project, he worked a variety of poses during the photo shoot, at times pulling his jacket down below his shoulders to release some heat.

At other points he seemed to do karate chops with his hands and even adopted a Buddha-like hand position while closing his eyes and appearing to meditate. 

Gerard, who will star in the action thriller London Has Fallen later this year, may have been thinking of his girlfriend Morgan Brown, a 39-year-old interior designer who he was linked to as early as May 2014.

In December the couple let their love hang out with a major PDA on the streets of West Hollywood, before dining at Cecconi's.

As she embraced the star, she would have felt rock-hard abs and solid shoulders - the result of intense workout sessions Gerard endured for his upcoming role in the fantasy-adventure film Gods Of Egypt, which hits theatres on February 26.

Butler plays Set, the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt's throne - a role that apparently required bulging biceps and a taut torso.
