He had just suffered a deflating defeat that prevented him from going for yet another Super Bowl championship.

But thankfully for NFL star Tom Brady he was able to seek solace in the arms of his children, and adorable moment caught on camera by his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen.

The professional clothehorse too great shared the image of her man with six-year-old Benjamin and three-year-old daughter Vivian with her 7.6 million followers on Instagram.

The emotional 35-year-old Brazilian beauty said: 'I  can't handle it, so much love! #family #love #grateful.'

Gisele also sent out a tweet to fans where she paid tribute for their support.

She said: 'Thank you all for the messages supporting Tom. We're so proud of him. #gratitude.'

No doubt the words of support from his followers is just the tonic for the 38-year-old quarterback after his New England Patriots were destroyed in the AFC Championship Game by the Denver Broncos, who are led by his old rival Payton Manning.

Despite the fact he was leading the reigning Super Bowl champions against a team whose biggest star is now nearly 40-years-old coming off an injured plagued season, they were unable to vanquish their foes. 

They even missed out on a last minute opportunity to take the game into overtime after failing to secure a two-point conversion.

It was a particularly painful night for Tom, as he literally took a beating, getting sacked four times and enduring double-digit hits and knockdowns.

For many NFL fans it was just desserts for the quarterback after he was found to have been throwing under-inflated balls in last year's AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts, with the Deflategate controversy still raging on in the courts.
