He left the Celebrity Big Brother house last week due to illness, but now back to full health, David Gest has waded into the Stephanie Davis cheating furore.

Appearing on Big Brother's Bit On The Side, the 63-year said that her flirty antics with Jeremy McConnell, when she is dating Sam Reece may have damaged her career.

He said of the sacked Hollyoaks star: 'She could have rectified her problems with her career but she's made it worse.'

Adding: 'I told Jeremy he's worth more,' he said. 'It's totally wrong.'

David also shed some more light on the illness which made him walk from the show, saying that he was upset to have missed out on the experience.

'I had strep throat, tonsilitis and a fever,' he said.

'I am on the mend now. I didn't want to go. Crazy as it was, I loved being the father figure, the nutcase, the advisor.'

Meanwhile, Stephanie was licking her wounds in the house on Monday night's episode of the show.

She admitted that she is scared for what the future holds for her relationship when she returns to the real world.

Speaking candidly Davis told how before entering the house she was certain she'd marry boyfriend Sam Reece but now worries her flirtations with Jeremy McConnell may mean she's a single lady.

In a heart to heart with her former enemies Gemma Collins and Danniella Westbrook, Stephanie revealed she's been thinking about what Reece has seen of the show and what his thoughts are.

Trying to ease her mind, Gemma and Danniella reassured her that things would be fine with her relationship come the end of the show.

But still doubtful, Davis said: 'I felt like I'd been with him forever like before I came in here him. There was nothing but it's all f***ed up now though. Hopefully it'll be alright.'

Adding that meeting Irish hunk McConnell has changed her outlook, Stephanie confirmed she's battling confusion.

The former Hollyoaks actress added: 'Everything was so simple before this, everything was perfect in my life.'

She continued: 'I was literally thinking I'd be getting a ring soon.'

Meanwhile, Jeremy admitted to Scotty T and Christopher Maloney that he's finding it difficult to control his feelings towards Stephanie.

The fake Mr Ireland confessed that although he feels bad for Reece he can't help the fact he's fallen for Davis.

He explained: 'I said it in the diary room and I do feel bad for him but I can't help it; s**t happens in this house'.
