He's back on the (ballot) box! Jerry Springer to join Good Morning Britain as correspondent for US Presidential elections
He is best-known for his controversial talk show, which aired during the 1990s.
But now it seems that Jerry Springer will be charting the developments of a very different type of drama - namely, the US Presidential Election.
The 71 year-old will join Good Morning Britain as the celebrity correspondent for the forthcoming White House battle, which will reach fever pitch in November.

The star, who was born in London's Highgate, will join the ITV show's current hosts - Susanna Reid, Piers Morgan, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway - as the race between the Republicans and the Democrats hots-up.
The news will no doubt delight fans of both politics and entertainment alike, especially as former NY Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, is tipped to run as an independent candidate.
Springer, who is the former Democrat Mayor of Cincinnati and passionate about politics, will cover the start of the race for The White House from early February, bringing insight and analysis of the presidential primary elections to the GMB audience.

Jerry will start presenting for Good Morning Britain on 1st February where he will report on the Iowa Caucus, the first major electoral event.
During election week in November, he will join Good Morning Britain live from Washington to report on the breaking news as it happens.
Jerry said: 'I'm excited about joining Good Morning Britain in bringing stateside coverage of this year's American Election, which so far is looking more outrageous than the chaos normally seen on my television show.
'The consequences of the campaign, as well as the results, will impact much, if not all, of the world.'

The major contenders for succeeding Barack Obama have already commanded plenty of press attention in recent months.
On the left, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Mally are the forerunners battling it out to represent the Democratic Party.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio are all hoping to lead a triumph for the Republicans. Outsiders include Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina.
