The weather outside was still frightful.

But that didn't stop Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria going out for their regular coffee run in the snowy Greenwich Village neighbourhood of New York on Thursday morning.

And the 57-year-old couldn't resist leaning in for a kiss with his beautiful brunette wife, although with the temperature as low as 44F the couple risked freezing their lips together.

The actor was careful not to crush baby Rafael, who the yoga instructor was carrying strapped to her front.

The family were well wrapped up for their trek out in the chilly city, which still has pockets of snow after Winter Storm Jonas dumped 26.8 inches of the white stuff on Sunday.

Hilaria, 32, wore a black padded coat with a hood, a grey sweater and blue skinny jeans tucked into sensible, heavy black booties.

She pulled her brunette tresses into an updo and protected her eyes from the sun and the glare of the snow with a large pair of Wayfarer-style sunglasses.

Aside from her drink, Hilaria carried her precious seven-month-old son, who was safely clasped to her front and no doubt helped to keep her warm.

The tot wore a blue and grey beanie with a bright yellow bobble, black leggings and red socks.

His silver fox dad covered up in a black padded zip-up jacket, baggy black trousers and black shoes.

The couple were careful to avoid the black ice as they crossed the road, which was still in evidence despite copious amounts os salt dropped by the city.

Missing from the stroll was the couple's two-year-old daughter Carmen. The family celebrated the baptism of her baby brother on January 14.

Meanwhile, Alec had some fun on Instagram, posting a side-by-side shot of himself next to Jermaine Jackson.

His hair was spiked up and he wore a black shirt under a dark jacket.

The star captioned it: 'BREAKING NEWS: Actor Alec Baldwin in talks to play brother Jermaine in Michael Jackson bio pic (developing).'

Some fans didn't realise he was joking and added comments suggesting the filmmakers get a black actor to play the king of pop's brother but most seemed to understand.
