Gisele Bundchen 'timed her trip to Brazil perfectly and did not leave husband Tom Brady in dust' after Super Bowl disappointment

She raised eyebrows by flying solo out to Brazil straight after her husband Tom Brady was knocked out of the NFL playoffs.

But Gisele Bundchen, 35, and the 38-year-old quarterback are 'in a good place' a source told People on Friday.

The supermodel was sure to show Tom what he was missing when she posed in her skimpy workout clothes in her homeland on Thursday.

Showcasing her pert backside, the star captioned the shot: 'Getting it done! #afterwork #workout #hotelroom #iwillwhatiwant #depoisdotrabalho #malhação #quartodohotel.'

There's a view behind her which could be pretty much any South American city, but she has a fresh coconut on hand to sip on through a straw, making it clear she's in her homeland - despite Brady's deflating defeat which prevented him from going for yet another Super Bowl championship

However, the publication's source told them that 'the trip doesn't spell trouble for the stars' marriage', and that the trip was a 'pre-scheduled "obligation".'

'She probably timed it right after the game thinking they were going to win,' the source explained to People.

'If they were going to go to the Super Bowl, then she could have been back in time and he would have been with his team this whole time, anyway,' they told them.

Gisele posted a cryptic message on Wednesday, perhaps reflecting her chilled mood, of a Buddha and featuring a saying.

It read: 'I am not what you think I am. You are what you think I am', which she had also translated into Portuguese.

The beauty was seen landing at the Guarulhos airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Tuesday, after flying straight in and not wasting any time to console a visibly disappointed Brady.

On Monday she had taken to Instagram to post a gorgeous picture of her husband Tom seeking solace in the arms of his children after his team the New England Patriots had struck out of the AFC Championship.

The professional clotheshorse shared the image of her man with six-year-old Benjamin and three-year-old daughter Vivian with her 7.6million followers on Instagram.

The emotional 35-year-old Brazilian beauty said: 'I  can't handle it, so much love! #family #love #grateful.'

Gisele also sent out a tweet to fans where she paid tribute for their support.

Feeling deflated: Tom looked sad as he trudged off the field following their loss

She said: 'Thank you all for the messages supporting Tom. We're so proud of him. #gratitude.'

No doubt the words of support from her followers were just the tonic after his New England Patriots were destroyed by the Denver Broncos, who are led by his old rival Payton Manning.

Despite the fact he was leading the reigning Super Bowl champions against a team whose biggest star is now nearly 40-years-old coming off an injury-plagued season, they were unable to vanquish their foes.

They even missed out on a last minute opportunity to take the game into overtime after failing to secure a two-point conversion.

It was a particularly painful night for Tom, as he literally took a beating, getting sacked four times and enduring double-digit hits and knockdowns.
