'We've all got it coming sooner or later': Lucious Lyon's son Hakeem pulls a gun on him in dramatic new clip for Empire
Fans have been anxiously awaiting the return on the hit Fox drama.

Tense: Lucious Lyon had a gun pulled on him by his son, Hakeem, in a tense clip released from the upcoming episodes of Empire on Thursday
Toward the end of the 12 second clip showed mogul Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) having a gun pulled on him by son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray).
It seems to be a moment filled with all types of emotions as tears could be seen streaming down Lucious's face.
The shrewd hip-hop executive still seemed to be defiant as he yelled at his his son: 'Watch your back because I keep my promises.'

The aspiring rapper seems unphased as he lifts a pistol toward his father's forehead and cocks it back.
Perhaps the hair-raising event put things into perspective for Lucious as the closing shot of the video is him laying in bed with his ex-wife and Hakeem's mother Cookie (Taraji P Henson).
No doubt the final image also came as a shock to fans as Lucious and Cookie have a very combative relationship.

'We've all got it coming sooner or later': Cookie had a very interesting thing to say early in the clip
Earlier in the video, Cookie seemed to foreshadow what would happen as she said:Â 'We've all got it coming sooner or later.'
Other key scenes included a Mercedes-Benz exploding and a steamy Hakeem make-out session.
Throughout the short clip, words flashed across the street which definitely reinforced the theme of what season 2 will be about as it read: 'Without family there is no Empire.'
Things are definitely going well for the series as it was announced earlier this month that it will be coming back for a third season.
Empire returns March 30 on Fox.
