Cradling her baby son in her arms, Karolina Kurkova looks the very picture of contentedness.

But the former Victoria's Secret model had a serious point to make with her sweet photo, which she shared as part of the 'breastfeedingselfie' Instagram campaign.

Writing of how challenging she found breastfeeding to be, the mother-of-two also revealed the joy she takes from feeding her two-month-old son.

'Taking a moment today to give thanks for the gift of breastfeeding,' wrote Karolina.

'Nature had things figured out long before we did and I believe there is no better source of nutrition for our babies than a mother’s milk, when we are able to breastfeed.'

Yet the Czech model made it clear that she had to work hard to reach this point.

'It’s not an easy process, but I encourage you to not give up! 

'It was challenging for me at the start, but I am loving every step of this journey. I celebrate the women who have made this beautiful commitment!!'

Karolina, 31, and her husband Archie Durie are also parents to six-year-old Tobin Jack.

They announced Noah's birth in a statement back in November, saying: ''Karolina has given birth to a healthy, beautiful baby boy with her husband, Archie Drury. 

'The baby joins his older brother Tobin who is ecstatic over the family's new addition. Mommy and baby are doing well.'
