She's relocated to the US since leaving Downton Abbey in order to pursue a Hollywood career.

And Joanne Froggatt looked every inch the leading lady as she descended upon the red carpet at the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 35-year-old British actress looked incredible in a plunging red dress with a subtle thigh-high split as she took centre stage at the awards ceremony.

Joanne's elegant number featured a flowing train and grey sequinned detailing at the waist, running all the way up to her shoulders.

The TV favourite accessorised with a black clutch bag and a pair of strappy black heels with a chunky ankle strap.

She wore her blonde locks in a tousled side plait, with loose tendrils framing her face.

Joanne was joined by her very dapper husband of three years, James, at the event.

The couple tied the knot at a private ceremony in October 2012 and recently moved to Los Angeles together.

Speaking exclusively to The Daily Mail ahead of the Golden Globes, Joanna said she has rented out her house in the UK for six months.

'We're actually homeless. We're living in a hotel until we can find ourselves somewhere to rent out here. We have some feelers out and we're assembling a list of places to view.

'I have no jobs lined up in Hollywood but there are so many opportunities to be had. We're going to have a little bit of a break first and then plunge right in and see what's out there.

'I won't be here forever.My home is in England. I just want to see what happens.'
