Demi Lovato recently celebrated six years with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.

So it was no surprise that the 23-year-old was eager to gush about her longtime love on Instagram on Saturday, for his 36th birthday.

She first praised her 'beautiful man' alongside a black and white snap, before sharing shots from their visit to Wolf Mountain sanctuary together.

Wilmer looked elated in a photograph Demi shared of the From Dusk till Dawn star, as he knelt down to pet one of the sanctuary's wolves.

'Look at how handsome the birthday boy is... #wolfpack #happybirthdaywilmer,' she gushed, alongside the photo.

She showed off her own grin in another picture as she held onto a chain leash while petting another wolf, posing beside her sister Madison De La Garza, 14, in third shot.

'Spent the day at Wolf Mountain sanctuary.. It was unbelievable. I fell in love with the wolves there and wish I could spend more time with these beautiful, spiritual creatures,' the Confident singer said of the experience.

Demi also took a moment to wish her boyfriend a happy birthday, posting a heartfelt message for the actor alongside a black and white snapshot.

She wrote: 'This beautiful man turned 36 today. I thank God every single day that this man came into my life for so many reasons...'

'But mainly because I'm so blessed to not only have been able to meet such an incredible, loving, funny and inspiring soul, but even more blessed and honored to call him mine.'

Smitten: The raven-haired beauty gushed about her visit, saying she wished she could 'spend more time with these beautiful, spiritual creatures'

The former Disney Channel star continued: 'I love you My Wilmer. You deserve the world and more.. Here's to so many more memories.'

Two weeks earlier Demi had celebrated the couple's anniversary with a black and white Instagram post simply captioned '6.'

And in the September issue of Cosmopolitan (for which she was the cover star) the raven-haired beauty dished about their relationship, and how Wilmer has stuck by her through difficult times.

Heartfelt: Ahead of the shots from their fun-filled trip to the sanctuary, Demi posted a sweet note to her longtime beau on Instagram

She shared: 'The only times we ever broke up were when I was relapsing, whether it was drugs or in a bad place and rebelling against everybody, not just him...'

'We started dating when I turned 18...Right after that, I went to rehab,' she added, noting: 'People told him, "You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it."'

'But he was like, "I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about."

Celebrating: Just two weeks prior to Wilmer's birthday celebration, Demi had shared a black and white photo of the couple to commemorate six years together, simply captioning it '6' with a heart emoji
