Patriots star Rob Gronkowski has admitted he has no plans for Valentine's Day after appearing to split from his cheerleader ex.

The NFL player had been dating Camille Kostek since last spring but their relationship seemed to cool off as late.

It came after rumors she had turned her attentions away from Gronkowski and towards the recent winner of American Idol, Nick Fradiani.

The NFL player had been dating Kostek since last spring but their relationship appeared to cool off as late

And in an interview with E! News, the New England Patriot appeared to confirm his relationship with Kostek was over.

He said: 'Right now, I don't have any plans.

'I didn't even think about Valentine's Day coming. So let's see what happens when Valentine's comes.

The last time Kostek posted a picture on Instagram with her ex-boyfriend four months ago and a source told the New York Post she spent New Year with Fradiani.

They told Page Six: 'Nick met Camille when he was doing "Idol" promos last year. She was even seen with him at the tapings last May. They have seen each other several times during the past year,' an 'insider' told the tabloid.

That story appears to line up with social media postings from the holidays. On New Year's Eve, Kostek, who also works as a TV reporter, posted a picture dressed to the nines in Miami.

A few days later, Fradiani tweeted about spending the holidays traveling between Cancun, Miami and New York City.

Gronk meanwhile, wrote on Facebook that he was spending the holiday 'resting up'.

After the Patriots failed to reach the Superbowl, Gronkowski now plans to spend time in the Caribbean when his 'party ship' sets sail for the Bahamas later this month.

Before getting into a career as a TV reporter, Kostek was a cheerleader for the Patriots, where Gronkowski plays

One of the last pictures Kostek posted of her Instagram page where she referred to her ex-boyfriend

And now the NFL season is over, Gronkowski has expressed a desire to be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars.

However, he told E! that producers had not bee in touch with him.

He added: 'I don't think I am going to do it this year anyway. It's a lot of really busy schedules and I really have a lot going on. I have to focus on football and stay in football shape.'
