Christie Brinkley's daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook has sent her mother a loving birthday message.

The teenager wished her supermodel mother a happy 62nd birthday with a gushing Instagram post and cute flashback photos on Tuesday.

'Happy Birthday to the most beautiful woman I know!!' wrote Sailor, who is also a model.

Birthday girl: Sailor Brinkley Cook shared a photo of herself as a toddler with mother Christie Brinkley as she wished the supermodel a happy 62nd birthday in an Instagram post on Tuesday

'You are my strength, my inspiration, my support system and the love of my life,' the 17-year-old wrote, sharing a photo of herself as a smiling toddler getting a big hug from Christie.

'No words can begin to express the undying love I have for you, mama,' she continued.

'Thank you for your years of unconditional love and unfiltered happiness. You are the smiles on all of your children's faces, you are a blooming flower in the middle of winter, you are sunshine.'

And she added: 'I love you I love you I love you and i hope you never forget that!!!! Here's to another year we get to spend by each others side. It's you and me mamacita!!!!!'

Cheers: The cute photos showed a young Sailor spending time at the beach with her famous mom

Sailor added another beach photo of herself as a young girl with her mother. The blonde toddler sips from a cup of water as Christie beams and leans in close in the sweet image.

The teenager is following in her mother's famous footsteps with her own modelling career and has posed in Seventeen and Hamptons magazines.

Supermodel Christie, who has been dating singer John Mellencamp since September, has also been busy promoting her new book Timeless Beauty.

Good genes: The 17-year-old, who shared a bikini photo on Instagram last month, is following in her mother's footsteps with her own modelling career

Speaking to the Today Show in November about her book, Christie said her top beauty tip is to smile.

'It instantly lifts the face and it just lights up the room,' she said.

The model admitted that she inherited her mother's good genes, but said there were many ways to stop the aging process.

'I had a gorgeous mom,' Christie said. 'She was beautiful, so I lucked out there.

'But there is a lot that you can do, from what you eat, to exercise to the creams that you use on your face 24 hours a day. You're so in control of that and you have a lot of influence there.'

And she said sunblock is the one beauty item she can't do without.
