After months of grueling rehearsals for Grease: Live she certainly deserves a little downtime.

And Julianne Hough indulged in a laid-back girls' lunch on Tuesday as she headed to a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old actress looked stylishly casual in ripped jeans and a cropped top which showed off her dancer's abs.

Keeping her look relaxed, Julianne tied her blonde locks into two buns and draped a sandy beige scarf around her neck.

She opted for summery gold sandals which showed off her shiny red pedicure.

Completing her look she carried a large stone leather tote bag.

During her outing to super popular Sugarfish sushi Julianne shared a sunny selfie with two pals.

The actress will no doubt be buzzing after the positive reception that Fox's three-hour special Grease: Live got.

Labelled 'visually impressive' by USA Today, and a 'cinematic... spectacle' by the New York Times, the 12.2million viewers who tuned in for the live spectacular seemed delighted by what they saw.

Julianne received rave reviews from critics and fans alike when she played sweet-natured Sandy.

Fox took a huge risk in re-creating the classic 1978 movie which famously starred John Travolta as Danny Zuko and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy.

The plot, which centered around the good girl and the greaser falling in love during the summer and rekindling their romance after finding themselves together again in high school needed no introduction.

Despite a couple of technical glitches, including a sound interruption at the school dance and static noise over Hough’s rendition of Hopelessly Devoted To You, Fox’s production generally went as well as could be hoped.
