Almost ready to go Live! George Clooney is in good cheer as he saunters to Jimmy Kimmel's studio in shirt and jeans

He is embarking on yet another press tour to promote his latest film Hail, Caesar.

But being a slave to the grind did not seem to get George Clooney down as he turned up at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio in Hollywood on Tuesday.

In fact the commanding performer managed to look both imperial and jocular as he sauntered towards the entrance with a smile on his face.

The 54-year-old former ER hunk managed to look smart but casual in a brown shirt, blue dad jeans and brown boots. He also made sure he was ready for anything by carrying a blue blazer on his arm.

No doubt George could hardly wait to indulge in some banter with the show's snarky host, especially as he is no slouch himself in the wit department.

In a role that was surely a stretch, George plays a famed movie actor in Hail, Caesar, but his world is turned upside down when he is captured by a criminal group named The Future.

On Monday night the dashing hunk was once again upstaged by his much younger wife Amal, 37, as they attended the premiere of his movie, which comes out on Friday, in Los Angeles.
