Ouch! Ex-pop star Tom Parker brandishes a bandaged hand after becoming the latest celebrity to be injured on The Jump

Viewers have already witnessed a number of injured celebrities on The Jump.

So it's perhaps not surprising that Tom Parker has become the latest contestant to show off a physical trauma, thanks to the hazardous Channel 4 show.

The former boy-band star, who rose to fame in The Wanted, was seen with a heavily-bandaged hand on Tuesday after tearing tendons in his right wrist.

But, putting mind over matter, he seemed to be assuming a stoic approach.

It comes after the singer was left in agony after tearing the tendons in his wrist when he fell on the slopes, last weekend.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: 'I've hurt my hand, yeah. We were practicing the air jump and I landed on my hand and pulled all of the tendons and ligaments in my wrist. That did actually really hurt. But we push on.'

Not that he's the first celeb to find himself compromised by the gameshow. Rebecca Adlington was left in a crumpled heap after losing control while practicing a ski jump at more than 30mph and hurtling down a 30 degree 100 metre long icy slope.

Her shoulder was out of joint for 40 minutes and the retired athlete was in tears of agony while guzzling gas and air for the pain as she was carried to an ambulance.

Spotted on Tuesday for one of the first times since her accident, Rebecca looked relaxed as she carefully trod her way across the snow.

She flaunted her incredibly athletic legs in skin-tight leggings and heavy-duty snow boots while she topped off the look with her chic, fur-trimmed, padded jacket.

During Sunday night’s opening episode, the mother-of-one, wearing a sling, described the pain she suffered as ‘worse than childbirth’.

She said: ‘What people didn’t see in the edited footage is that I was lying there with a dislocated shoulder for 40 minutes. It was worse than childbirth and it’s still horrible now because people keep knocking my arm.’

Things quickly took a wrong turn as she failed to get her legs in the correct position to land, which resulted in her losing her balance and dislocate her shoulder.

Paramedics were quick to attend, and Adlington had to be stretchered into an ambulance before being whisked to hospital.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: 'Rebecca's fall was incredibly nasty. One minute she was flying through the air, the next she was crumpled on the crash mat and clearly in a lot of pain.'

The double Olympic gold medallist isn't the first celebrity from the upcoming series to have suffered injury as they prepare themselves for the competition.

On Wednesday, TV star Louisa Lytton was rushed to hospital after suffering a nasty fall during a training session on the slopes.

The 26-year-old had to be fetched from the piste by Mountain Rescue who sped her to Innsbruck Hospital for an emergency CT scan and X-rays.

Medics were also called to TOWIE's James 'Arg' Argent, who fell off his sledge while speedily travelling along a race track.

Meanwhile, socialite Tamara Beckwith also suffered an injury when she too suffered an accident on the slopes - which resulted in her getting triage.

Escorted off the resort and into an ambulance, it's understood she only received minor abrasions to her right wrist.

TOWIE's Arg, US actor Dean Cain, who played Superman on the small screen, former EastEnders actress Sid Owen, socialite Tamara Beckwith, Lytton and Adlington faced the Air Jump.

Lytton came last as they battled it out to get as much height as possible by jumping off the 4.5 metre kicker and landing into a giant airbag.

But due to bad weather conditions, their pre-recorded leaps were used instead for the results process.

A show spokesperson said: 'Due to high winds it was decided that it was not safe for competitors to jump live. The health and safety of the competitors is paramount. Contingency jumps were recorded earlier with all competitors and the result of the show was decided based on these.'
