But why a male model? We just told you a moment ago - because Zoolander 2 hits theaters next weekend.

To promote the film, the popular Barbie Style Instagram account - which sees the blonde doll rocking amazing one-of-a-kind outfits and attending actual Hollywood events - has invited a mini Derek out on the town for the week.

On Monday, he hopped into Barbie's convertible, wearing gold lamé pants and a matching lamé-trimmed leather jacket.

'Picked up my friend Derek and we’re having an LA staycation this week,' Barbie captioned the picture, which was reminiscent of a scene from the first film in which Derek takes his male model friends out for orange mocha Frappuccinos in his Jeep.

They next drove to a clothing store in Malibu, where Zoolander is posed holding up a pair of purses for Barbie to choose from.

'Barbie, do you want to wear bag one, or bag two? Pick one B, you know I don’t like numbers!' the adorable picture is captioned.

They finished the evening at Craig's Restaurant, a West Hollywood hotspot where stars like Ashley Benson, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, Demi Lovato, Hailey Baldwin, Jessica Alba, and the Kardashian and Jenner clan like to dine.

On Tuesday, Barbie even copied Zoolander's signature Blue Steel look, with the team behind the Instagram account making a custom doll with duck face and an arched eyebrow.

'Posing lessons from the world’s most famous male model. So @Zoolander, how’s my #BlueSteel?' the photo, which saw the duo posing for a selfie, was captioned.

From there, Derek - whose hair is perfectly blown-out in every shot - headed with Barbie to Paramount Studios, where he need to 'Googly' directions to the studio.

They also grabbed some food at A.O.C. - another Kardashian favorite - and were joined by a 'Valentina' doll, modeled off of Penelope Cruz's character in the sequel.

The doll even got a custom white trench coat to look like the one Penelope sports in the upcoming film.

On the table, Barbie can be seen eating some avocado toast, while Zoolander has clearly opted for a plate full of just lettuce.

Today started out with a bit more action, seeing Zoolander challenge a Ken doll to a walk-off. Unfortunately, the late David Bowie - who officiated the match in the first film - wasn't around to do the honors this time.

After the competition, Barbie and Derek headed to SoulCycle before catching up with Hansel - played in the films by Owen Wilson - at Pressed Juicery.
