Golf mad Denise Van Outen shows off her trim figure in a checkered skirt and polo top as she trades the beach for the putting green in Barbados

She may be in Barbados for Kimberley Walsh's wedding, but Denise van Outen certainly wasn't going to pass up on her favourite hobby while the sun was out.

The television personality indulged in a spot on golf on Monday afternoon with boyfriend Eddie Boxshall, brushing up on her skills on the putting green.

And though she may have meant business, Denise hit the Royal Westmoreland golf course with all of her usual glamour about her.

Sporty Denise was adding a feminine edge to the pass time, dressing in a checkered mini skirt and a pink polo top.

She tipped a pair of large sunglasses on the end of her nose and brushed her platinum locks out of her face to keep an eye on the ball at all times.

Denise, a firm fan of the sport since 2014, had all of the gear and teed off in practical shoes and gripping her clubs with a white glove on her left hand for grip.

She wasn't without beau Eddie for support either, since he stood faithfully by with a helping hand when she took shots towards the end hole.

Eddie couldn't be missed in bright green shorts, despite ducking beneath a practical sunhat to shade himself from the Barbados rays. 

The duo were caddying themselves around but couldn't resist a quick selfie as they made their way around the plush course.

The weekend had been a very different scene, because it was of course finally time to see Kimberley and long-term partner Justin Scott tie the knot.

Denise was impeccably turned out in a floral wedding guest dress, which featured a neon print and a cute black bow.

Her counterpart was handsome on her arm in a blue suit, adding contemporary edges to his wedding get up with a polka dot tie and shoes with no socks.
