Folks usually prepare for the Super Bowl by finding a nice comfortable spot on the sofa in front of the TV surrounded by snacks and beers.

But that's not Irina Shayk's style.

The 29-year-old Russian model put on leggings and a skimpy bra top revealing her tiny tummy as she performed a complex yoga move.

The beautiful brunette posted an Instagram snap of her exercise session captioned: Pre Super Bowl workout! #Sunday #SuperBowl.

The supple 5ft 10in Sports Illustrated star knelt on one leg and stretched the other out behind her, bending it at the knee and twisting back slightly to hold her foot in her hand.

Not surprisingly, her pretzel-like picture grabbed 93,000 likes in just two hours.

The Super Bowl is being televised live from the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Northern California.

And Irina will likely watch the game, which sees the Denver Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers in the American football season finals, with her beau Bradley Cooper.

The New York-based couple have been dating since last April and Irina's career is going from strength to strength.

She was recently named one of Vogue magazine's breakout beauty stars, having been acknowledged for her leap to the runways of high-end designers such as Diane von Furstenberg.

Meanwhile, Irina became the new international spokeswoman for cosmetic giant L'Oréal Paris in October.

Bradley, who's fluent in French, divorced his wife Jennifer Esposito in 2007, and he was previously linked to actresses Suki Waterhouse, Zoe Saldana and Renee Zellweger.

Shayk - born Shaykhlislamova - last romanced Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
