Mary J Blige gets helping hand from trainer as she displays toned arms and legs in colorful workout gear

Mary J Blige looked exhausted during her latest workout and took a seat on the floor to catch her breathe.

But there was No More Drama to be had out of the singer, as she was taken by her personal trainer's hand and continued to work up a sweat in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old's toned arms and legs clad in a blue, purple and green Nike ensemble revealed the impressive results of her grueling routine.

The nine-time Grammy winner completed the look with a mesh green hat and blue and pink Nike sneakers.

Real Love hitmaker Mary was put through the paces and displayed impressive physicality as her instructor restrained her using a belt while she dashed up an inclined street.

Meanwhile, the Sweet Thing singer debuted Mary J Blige: The London Sessions - a documentary based on her 13th album of the same name - at the Tribeca Film Festival last month.

Mary collaborated with Brit stars Sam Smith, Emeli Sande and others in London while recording new music.

Ahead of going abroad last year, the entertainer suffered a series of obstacles in 2013, including a $3million federal tax lien for failure to make tax payments from 2009-2011, TMZ reports, and she was served an eviction notice from her lavish New York City apartment that same year too, according to New York Daily News

'Well, I don't really know why a lot of it was happening,' she told NBC last month of the troubles.

'It was a disastrous. And a lot of it came from not paying attention; a lot of it came from just trusting the wrong people. And it was a wakeup call, it was a huge humongous wakeup call for me to say "Look, you don’t need any of these people around and I’m going to make sure that you see how fast they run when this happens."'

She added: 'And it was just the biggest wakeup call ever.'

Her personal agony fueled the creative process as she released her emotions in the studio to create the album, she explained to People.

'It's not hard because you're releasing it, and you're showing your way out, and you're showing people that there is a way out for you.

'So the hard part is going through it, but going to the studio and singing a song like "Doubt" or singing a song like "Not Loving You" is like (sighs), "Thank God!" You get it out of you.'

Most recently she appeared in an episode of the Fox hit drama Empire.

'I'm gonna do drama. That's first on my list – and surprise people with comedy, a little later. Right now I’m gonna go after the drama.'
