'I can't wait to actually be 30!' Anna Kendrick, 29, reveals she isn't afraid of aging as she covers Glamour magazine

Hollywood is known for worshiping the fountain of youth.

But instead of fearing the aging process, Anna Kendrick, 29, is embracing it.

'I felt different at 29 because 29, to me, is 30. There are times when I still feel like an actual toddler in a grown-up - well, semi grown-up - body. But Other times I can't wait to actually be 30,' the Pitch Perfect star told Glamour magazine while elegantly covering the June 2015 issue.

Be abstract like Anna's Gucci gown

If we weren't envious enough of her hilarious tweets, witty banter and gorgeous voice, Anna Kendrick has also shown off her fashion credentials in a stunning Gucci embellished gown on the cover of Glamour's June issue.

The Pitch Perfect star's sartorial look is super versatile when on the red carpet, wearing everything from quirky Kate Spade to romantic Valentino. This embellished Gucci gown is no different and with the pussy bow neck, bold print and embellished detailing, it would be too much on anyone but her.

The Gucci dress is sadly from the Pre-Fall 15 collection so isn't available online, but you can shop Gucci's previous collections at Net-A-Porter (click right). Otherwise Topshop Unique have a very similar design with an abstract print, or you can save on aBoohoo paint splatter dress.

With this bold print, all you need are some classic black heels and matching red lips to really nail the look.

The actress, who turns 30 on August 9, continued, 'just so I can say things like, "I’m 30. I don’t have time for that. F*** off!"

Though she isn't afraid of getting older, Anna does cringe at the thought of unpredictable breaks in her now-thriving acting career.

'As an actress you’re perpetually about to be unemployed. That fear - when you have two parents who worked 9-to-5 jobs and went through periods of being unemployed - is real,' the Cake star told the publication.

'Those were not welcome times in my childhood. Working 14 hours a day isn’t sustainable, but I prefer it [to doing fewer films].

'I might as well be doing the thing that I wanted to do my whole life.'

Anna explained that her love of comedy actually began as a self-defense mechanism in middle school.

Lacking confidence in her looks and smarts, she said: 'I was like, Well, I can take a joke and I can make one too. I've got that going for me!

'So I leaned into that. There was a sense of: I refuse to allow you to make me feel uncomfortable. That carried over into adulthood.

'I'm not saying it's healthy. It's a defense mechanism, but it's one that serves me well.'

Anna Kendrick will next be seen in Pitch Perfect 2, in which stars as an A Capella singer, Beca. The film is slated for a May 15 release.

'My favorite Beca is Struggling, Awkward Beca because I think that's who we all are. We want to be like Cool Beca, and we're not,' she said of her character in the college comedy.

Though, obtaining roles in Hollywood isn't necessarily easy for female talents.

Anna discussed gender bias in Hollywood, saying, 'All the films nominated [for a Best Picture Oscar] this year had male leads,' she continued, 'So I’m glad that [equality’s] feeling like a bigger issue now…

'There’s [a film I’m considering] now where I have to wait for all the male roles to be cast before I can even become a part of the conversation.

'Part of me gets that. [But] part of me is like, "What the f***? You have to cast for females based on who’s cast as males?" To me, the only explanation is that there are so many f***ink talented girls, and from a business standpoint it’s easier to find women to match the men.

'I totally stand by the belief that there are 10 unbelievably talented women for every role.'

Glamour‘s June 2015 issue is out on newsstands on May 12.

Anna joked about her forthcoming cover - in which she is wearing a Gucci dress and Me&Ro earrings - by sharing a snap of the glossy on Instagram and sarcastically captioning it: 'So civilized.'
