She's grown into one of the hottest supermodels on the planet.

And Gigi Hadid, 20, gave fans a treat on Saturday when she posted a super cute throwback snap from her days as a young girl.

The adorable black and white image sees Gigi and her pal Olivia Perez cheek to cheek with their faces decorated with bindi jewels and diamantes to the side of their eyes.

It would appear the elder Hadid sister was destined for the catwalk as she tilted her head to the side of the shot and gazed just above the lens.

She wrote: 'happy birthday to you my @livvperez i love you with all my heart, can't wait to celebrate soooooon' 

The daughter of Yolanda Foster and real-estate developer Mohamed Hadid previously told Vogue Australia, 'I wouldn’t have changed my childhood for the world.'

Earlier this week Gigi posed for the LOVE Magazine LOVE Club issue for Spring/Summer, teasing fans with a seductive shot of her chest while lifting up her t-shirt.

It looks as though Gigi Hadid is feeling rather comfortable around new boyfriend Zayn Malik already, quite literally.

Inside, she opened up about her meteoric rise to fame in an interview with Paul Flynn and had her say on the age old discussion of what makes a supermodel.

She said: 'I was always told as a kid that you need five Vogue covers to be a supermodel. I don’t know if I consider myself a supermodel, but that was what I was told you need to do.' 

The beauty, who is currently in a relationship with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, Hadid was born and raised in Los Angeles.

A graduate of Malibu High School, Gigi captained the varsity volleyball team and rode horses competitively.

Gigi moved to New York in the autumn of 2013 to pursue a modelling career and continue her studies.
