'They're coming back': Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum return with Liam Hemsworth in new Independence Day: Resurgence Super Bowl trailer
Twenty years ago, they saved the Earth from alien invaders in 1996 hit Independence Day.
And Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman are back in a new trailer for the sequel Independence Day: Resurgence, which aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday.
The action-packed trailer begins at a stadium as the US national anthem plays.

The ominous words 'The world will unite for independence' then appear on screen, before fighter jets and futuristic space craft shooting lasers soar overhead
The trailer also shows actor Liam Hemsworth, 26, piloting one of the jets as he fights back against invading aliens. He also shares a romantic moment with actress Maika Monroe, who controversially replaced original actress Mae Whitman as the president's daughter Patricia Whitmore.
While the 1996 blockbuster wowed audiences with its eye-popping special effects, the new trailer also gives fans an eyeful as alien invaders are seen wrecking havoc on humanity and destroying cities around the world, including London.
'They're coming back,' says original star Bill Pullman, 62, who played the US president and now sports a bushy white beard for the sequel.

Actor Jeff Goldblum, 63, also reprises his role as David Levinson in the new trailer.
The star is seen wearing a space suit as he appears to be watching the mass destruction in utter shock.
'What goes up must come down,' he intones.
The trailer also shows new lead Jessie Usher, who goes shirtless as he casts a worried glance over his shoulder.
Jessie plays the son of Will Smith's heroic Steven Hiller character.

Original Independence Day director Roland Emmerich is also returning to helm the sequel, which is set for release in the US on June 24.
'Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet,' the caption to the new trailer explains.
'But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.'
