Kate Hudson bumps into TWO of her exes as she attends same Super Bowl party as Nick Jonas and Derek Hough

It's tricky whenever you bump into an ex unexpectedly.

But Kate Hudson found herself faced with TWO of her former flames - Nick Jonas and Derek Hough - at DirecTV's pre-Super Bowl bash at Pier 70 in San Francisco on Saturday evening.

And the star carried off what could have been an awkward moment with grace, according to Us Weekly.

An insider told the magazine that Nick, 23, went over to talk to Kate, 36, in the VIP section around 1.30am.

They gossiped for about 45 minutes and during that time Derek Hough joined them, although the Kung Fu Panda star apparently wasn't as talkative with the Dancing With The Stars pro.

'Briefly all three of them chatted and laughed about something,' the onlooker revealed.

Before Nick turned up, Kate had registered on Derek's radar but they didn't connect until the actress danced to Red Hot Chili Peppers' Around the World.

The insider reported that 'she turned around, and Derek kind of danced at her, and they briefly chatted. 

Kate and Nick were first seen out out together in September, and dated for a few months before splitting last month.

The Jonas Brothers star told Complex magazine: 'I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. 

'Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She’s amazing.'

The couple hooked up after being introduced by Kate's brother, Oliver Hudson, who is Nick's co-star on the Fox horror comedy Scream Queens and were previously seen together in the California ski resort of Mammoth in January.

As for Derek, Kate was caught making out with the 30-year-old in December 2014, days before her split from Muse musician Matt Bellamy, with whom she shares four-year-old son Bingham, Us Weekly reported at the time.

They hooked up again last summer, although nothing seemed to come of it
