Being one of the world's most famous sportsmen comes with certain fringe benefits.

And David Beckham used his to the full when he pulled some strings to treat his son Brooklyn to his first ever Super Bowl in California on Sunday.

The former Manchester United star and his 16-year-old son looked like they could hardly wait to watch the big game in Santa Clara, where the Denver Broncos ended up destroying the Carolina Panthers.

Sharing an Instagram photo of the touching moment, the 40-year-old said: 'SUPER BOWL BABY ..... My boys first one so you can see by his face he is excited?' 

No doubt the pair would admit it beats going to watch the LA Galaxy, who David played for from 2007 until 2012.

Given how his father is a worldwide style icon it should come as no surprise Brooklyn wants to be just like his storied parent.

So this probably explains why Brooklyn decided to wear his father's old vest when they went for a stroll in Hollywood at the weekend.

The teen borrowed one of his old' man's trademark looks by wearing the top along with a pair of dark shorts before the pair enjoyed some quality time together in the entertainment capital. 

Brooklyn looked as proud as punch as he showed off his muscles in the faded vest, which his father had worn when it was in near mint condition as he went for a Soul Cycle session in Los Angeles last April.

While his boy was trying to copy him, Dave was being his own man in a green and white long-sleeved top, three-quarter length bottoms and flip flops.

While his father has extremely deep pockets, with an estimated $350 million net worth, his boy may have treated his old man with his own money for a change as he recently scooped his first photography job.

Proving to be just as professional as his famous father and mother, Brooklyn had a certain level of confidence about him last week as he got on with his first job as a photographer.

Taking to the streets of London, the teen was on the ball as he shot Burberry's latest This Is Brit fragrance campaign.
