Dynamic duo! Kanye West prepares for his highly anticipated Yeezy Season 3 NYFW show as wife Kim Kardashian teases new project on Instagram

He first announced his upcoming project - Waves - as 'the best album of all time.'

So with only four days between now and its unveiling, it's no wonder that Kanye West looked to be in a bit of a hurry as he stepped out of his New York City apartment on Sunday.

And while the 38-year-old was preparing for the unveiling of his album - and collection, Yeezy Season 3 - his wife, Kim Kardashian, took to Instagram to share that she had a secret project in the works as well.

Business time: It's going to be a busy week for Kanye West, who was spotted leaving his New York City apartment on Sunday ahead of the reveal of his new album AND new collection during New York Fashion Week

Mum's the word! Meanwhile, Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to announce a 'secret project' she has in the works

Kanye wore a loose-fitting tie-dye T-shirt underneath a white sweatshirt, which he sported with the hood pulled up over a black baseball cap.

He bundled up with a bulky, olive green jacket, and coupled those with a pair of tapered, navy blue sweatpants.

Kanye finished off his look with a pair of navy blue sneakers as he was spotted stepping out in New York City.

The busy artist stopped to sign a few autographs before making his way to the gym to squeeze in a workout amidst preparing his collection for Thursday.

The father-of-two will be debuting both his new album Waves - originally called Swish - and the third season of his popular Yeezy collection - a collaboration with Adidas - on the first day of New York Fashion Week.

Last week Kanye gushed about his dreams finally coming to fruition with the upcoming show, sharing the good news on Twitter.

'It was always a dream to have a listening party at Madison Square Garden. It was always a dream to show my collection at Madison Square Garden,' he posted, adding: 'On February 11th these dreams come true.'

Get in on the action: Though tickets for the Madison Square Garden show immediately sold out, fans can still be a part of the unveiling by watching the show on Thursday in select theaters worldwide

Tickets for the show, which will also feature a performance by Vanessa Beecroft, went onsale on February 4, but sold out within 10 minutes.

Kanye immediately returned to social media to share his excitement, posting: 'THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS WE SOLD MADISON SQUARE GARDEN OUT IN 10 MINUTES!!!'

And those who would still like to be witness to the unveiling of 'the album of life' can buy tickets to see the world premiere in select theaters worldwide.

Plans of her own: Meanwhile, Kim shared a series of snaps and videos to her social media accounts before teasing an upcoming project of her own

According to Fashionista, the surprise event has forced Banana Republic creative advisor Marissa Webb and Adam Selman, a favorite of Rihanna's, to reschedule their shows.

Typically designers secure their spots on the official Fashion Calendar - which lists events up to six months in advance - to avoid such conflicts.

However, Kanye caused a similar issue for emerging designer Anne Bowen last year, as he revealed his surprise show at what turned out to be the exact same time as her planned show for her new streetwear line, forcing her to reschedule which she called a 'logistical nightmare.'

Beautiful in black: In the video, the reality star could be seen modeling a form-fitting black sweater as well as her new favorite hair trend, tight French braids

Meanwhile, Kanye's wife was teasing her 59.8 million Instagram followers about a new project she is working on.

She shared a video of herself making a heart and writing 'I love you,' in smoke, showing off some recently acquired Snapchat skills.

The new mom also posted a photograph of her with her glam squad, as she looked to be posing for a photograph on her phone, with tight braids and a full face of make-up.

Kisses! The new mom modeled a fur coat in another video, which showed her blowing kisses to her fans as she gushed: 'LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!'

The announcement comes after her Kimoji app hit number one on Apple's App store, for which her husband Kanye congratulated her.
