Laura Dern delights in delicate floral gown as she celebrates mom Diane Ladd’s big win at AARP’s Movie For Grownups Awards
Laura Dern is usually the one capturing the spotlight at red carpet events.
This time she took a step back to allow her 80-year-old actress mom Diane Ladd some room to celebrate at the AARP Movie For Grownups Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Monday.
Laura, 48, did her own share of wowing too while dressed in a stylish ivory gown patterned with delicate black flowers and edging.
Support system: Laura Dern, 48, was the one doing the cheering as her mother Diane Ladd, 80, picked up the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Joy at the AARP Movie For Grownups Awards in Beverly Hills
The blonde star wore her blonde straight and simple with the blunt edges brushing her shoulder blades.
Laura's make-up was minimal with just a hint of rose lip gloss, eye liner and rouge.
Glamour aside, the Jurassic Park got straight to the business of supporting her mom who picked up the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Joy.

Laura starred with her mom Diane on her HBO show Enlightened, which aired from 2011 to 2013.
'The amazing gift of this show is that the con no longer exists,' Laura told Newsday. 'It did with youth, and now, entering my 40s, I can enjoy her.
'Now it's purely about the artistic experience. It's been seamless. Now that I'm a grown-up, I can enjoy the woman. I was always afraid every choice she made reflected on me, but I was a kid, 19, 20.
'It's a refreshing and amazing experience. When you look into your own mother's eyes, there is nothing but the truth.'
