'Your time is up': Mia Wasikowska reunites with Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter in teaser trailer for Alice Through The Looking Glass

Alice returned to her rich fantasy world and reunited with the Mad Hatter in a teaser trailer for Alice Through The Looking Glass that aired on Sunday during the Super Bowl.

The 30-second clip titled Hurry Up was released last week by Disney but ran again during the NFL championship game along with commercials for Captain America: Civil War, Jason Bourne, Deadpool, Independence Day: Resurgence, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and X-Men: Apocalypse.

Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, 26, was shown at the start of the clip in deep contemplation as Alice while a clock ticked loudly in the background.

'You've been gone too long, Alice,' said the late actor Alan Rickman who recorded his lines for his role as the Blue Caterpillar before his death from cancer in January aged 69.

'There are matters which cannot be neglected. Hurry,' he warned.

Quick scenes showed Anne Hathaway returning as the White Queen and Johnny Depp, 52, as the Mad Hatter appearing forlorn while standing in a smoldering field.

Alice was then shown pushing her head through a large mirror and dropping from a doorway through the sky.
