She's not ticklish! Saoirse Ronan dresses up white frock with feather stilettos at Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Saoirse Ronan kept it simple in a white halterneck dress for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Monday.

But the actress added an eye-catching touch her look with some fluffy stiletto heels as she posed for photos before accepting her Outstanding Performer of the Year award.

The 21-year-old beauty, who has been a major player this awards season for her role in Brooklyn, kept her make-up look to a minimum.

Saoirse revealed some of her slender back in the white dress which featured a pretty bow at the neckline.

Her ornate Jimmy Choo heels were decorated with rhinestones on the heels and ankle straps while white feather tassels hung down the centre of her feet.

The New York native wore her waved blonde locks in a loose chignon.

Both Saoirse and Brie Larson (Room) were awarded the outstanding performer accolade - the first time the SBIFF has dished it out to two honorees.

Brie and Saoirse have previously been awarded the festival’s Virtuoso Award, in 2014 and 2010 respectively.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival runs from February 3 to February 13, 2016.

Saoirse plays an Irish immigrant to 1950s Brooklyn in the John Crowley directed drama. 

Her character, Ellis, quickly falls in love with a local but when her past catches up with her she is forced to choose between two countries.

Saoirse was beaten by Brie in the best actress category in both the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards last month.

But she will get another chance at victory as the duo will also compete for an Academy Award on February 28.

Earlier on Monday Saoirse donned a chic wool shorts suit with strappy heels for the Annual Academy Awards nominee luncheon in Beverly Hills.
