Man is 'knifed in the head' outside of McDonald's takeaway in Bromley

Dramatic footage has emerged of horrified onlookers covered in blood and a suspect in handcuffs moments after a man was knifed in the head in front of children outside a McDonald's restaurant (right). The victim, thought to be in his 30s, was attacked on a busy high street in Bromley, South London, this morning (left). Several shoppers rushed to the injured man's aid (middle), while other members of the public are said to have stopped his alleged attacker fleeing the scene. He was arrested when police arrived (left) and cordoned off the scene. A London Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that multiple resources were sent to the scene and the victim was rushed as a priority to hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

The Queensferry Crossing between Edinburgh and Fife is due to open later this year to ease traffic on the decades-old Forth Road Bridge, which was recently closed due to safety fears. Around 1,300 people are currently working on the £1.4billion project, one of the biggest British infrastructure projects of recent years. When it is completed, the Queensferry Crossing will be the third bridge over the Forth, after the 1964 road bridge and the iconic Victorian railway bridge.
