The celebrity doppelgänger with twice as many A-list credentials: 24-year-old named Jennifer Lopez earns online fame - as a TAYLOR SWIFT lookalike

  • Georgia native Jennifer Lopez can't sing or dance, but she shares a name and a resemblance with two superstar performers
  • As a skinny teenager, she was teased for not having a bum like J.Lo's
  • Now an adult, Taylor's fans stop her for pictures - and even the singer's dad once commented on her lookalike status
  • Jennifer, a beauty blogger, said she's come to embrace her name - and doesn't seem to mind looking like the 1989 singer, either

A woman named Jennifer Lopez who was teased as a child for her very famous name now has to contend with similarities to yet another celebrity — since she's the spitting image of Taylor Swift.

Beauty blogger Jennifer, 24, had to grow up with constant jokes being made about the fact that she shared her name with a superstar. But now the Savannah, Georgia, native finds she gets fewer J.Lo quips and a whole lot more staring, since her blonde hair, blue eyes, an frequently-red pout make her a veritable T.Swift doppelgänger.

'It's bizarre having one celebrity's name, and then looking like another,' she said.

As a skinny teenager, Jennifer would often get teased at school for not having assets like J.Lo's. Other kids would chant: 'J.Lo, where'd ya booty go?'

'I've learned to love my name now, but growing up with it was not fun. In school, kids are cruel,' she said. 'I was teased because I had J.Lo's name but I didn't look like her, but I just laughed it off.'

'When I was little I didn't like it because I wanted to be my own person, but now I know I am, this is my name,' she added.

And for the record, Jennifer wasn't named after J.Lo — even though the pop star is 22 years her senior. In fact, when she was born, the famous Ms. Lopez was still just starting out on In Living Color.

But now it seems people are searching less for her bum than for her all-star girl squad, since Jennifer bares an uncanny resemblance to the 1989 singer.

People first started noticing that she looked like the pop princess back in 2007 when she was 16 years old — shortly after Taylor Swift's first album came out in October 2006.

'[Kids] at school began saying, "You look like Taylor Swift", and I didn't even know who she was at the time so I Googled her,' she remembers.

Now she 'absolutely loves her' — which probably helps her remain patient when fans 'recognize' her on the street and ask for selfies.

'When I go out I get stares and people come up to me saying, "You look like Taylor Swift,"' she said. 'I thank them and smile and if people want pictures, I let them take them.'

She also recalled: 'I was once shopping and the cashier started singing the song 'Picture to Burn' by Taylor Swift as I approached.'

Jennifer added that even Talyor's dad was struck by their resemblance. While waiting in line to go to one of the star's concerts in 2008, the singer's father approached her and told her that she looked just like his daughter.

'I was in complete shock so I just stood there — that would have been my perfect opportunity to ask to meet her but I froze,' she said.

Her friends get a kick out of it, too, tagging her in Taylor Swift's Instagram photos.

'My boyfriend thinks it's comical and quite cool, but he's a very private person so he doesn't push it out there,' she said.

Her family is less thrilled, thinking it's 'bizarre' that people stare at her in public — but by now, she said, they've gotten used to it.

It's also worth noting that while Jennifer's as genetically blessed as the Out of the Woods singer, she also happens to prefer wearing her hair and make-up the same way.

'I enjoy the same make-up and style that Taylor wears, and coincidentally I cut my hair short when she did,' she said. 'Of course, I do get inspiration from her clothes as well.'

But even though her Taylor lookalike status is now the first thing people seem to notice, her days of being compared to the American Idol judge aren't exactly over.

'Even now, when I introduce myself to people they laugh,' she said. 'When my name is called out at appointments people look around.'

But there are downsides, too: 'In the past when I've applied for jobs, I've felt that I haven't been taken seriously because of my name.'

Still, Jennifer — who said she can't sing and looks 'like a giraffe learning to walk' when she tries to dance — remains optimistic.

'At least it helps people remember my name,' she said. 'Now I embrace it.'
