Over the past 12 months we've seen the return of bobs, lobs, 'undone' hair and 'bronde' locks on the red carpet.
But recently a brand new trend has been sweeping the red carpets: 'The Tinkerbell'.
High profile celebrities around the world have been stepping out with chic high buns and choppy, wispy bangs just like the sassy Peter Pan fairy, including Kendall Jenner, Australian TV host Kerri-Anne Kennerley and most recently, Emma Watson.

Rise of 'The Tinkerbell' trend: Kendall Jenner (pictured) is one celebrity who has recently rocked a high bun with accompanying edgy bangs not unlike Peter Pan character Tinkerbell's signature locks
Chic: Chris Brown's former actress girlfriend Karrueche Tran (pictured) also rocked The Tinkerbell do with a stunning braided section at the back for a quirky twist at the 2015 AMAs
'The Tinkerbell fringe is ever so cute and dare I say fun and flirtatious. It's that peek-a-boo kind of fringe that flutters over the eyebrows and can be easily swept to one side to give that sixties Bardot vibe too,' Sydney-based celebrity hairdresser and RAW salon owner, Anthony Nader, told Daily Mail Australia.
Kendall was one of the first to rock the look when she wore her raven tresses in a Tinkerbell topknot to show off her edgy, blunt bangs at the 2015 American Music Awards.
On the same night Chris Brown's former actress girlfriend Karrueche Tran also rocked The Tinkerbell do with a stunning braided section at the back for a quirky twist.
Stunning: Emma Watson (pictured) is the most recent to have rocked The Tinkerbell trend - Emma wearing her locks in the high bun out in Germany on Friday night while promoting her new movie
Playful: 'It's that peek-a-boo kind of fringe that flutters over the eyebrows and can be easily swept to one side to give that sixties Bardot vibe too,' celebrity hairdresser Anthony Nader said
Inspiration: The new trend is very similar to Tinkerbell's
'Kendall Jenner caused complete media madness when she showed up on the red carpet recently with her new fringe but, little did the world know that it was a complete fake (the fringe of course)!' Mr Nader said.
'For those of you not wanting to sacrifice having a fringe cut in, you can easily go to a wig store and get a clip on fringe.'
'Sounds kind of strange I know but trust me, these are remarkable for changing up your look for any occasion and it's just a matter to one or two clips attached to a fine fabric fringe piece and viola...you now have a fringe.'
On trend: Australian TV host Kerri-Anne Kennerley rocked a Tinkerbell bun at the AACTA awards in December
Lighthearted: 'The Tinkerbell fringe is ever so cute and dare I say fun and flirtatious,' Mr Nader said
Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards also worked a faux fringe into her locks to create a Tinkerbell look during a recent trip to Japan.
Mr Nader does advise however, to steer clear of the 'non-human' hairpieces as they can look artificial and are unable to be styled with heat.
'The human piece will not only last forever but also looks like the real deal to the point where your friends think you've just had a fringe cut in and you can use hot appliances to change up your look depending on what outfit you're wearing,' Mr Nader said.

Emma Watson and Kerri-Anne Kennerley have also rocked The Tinkerbell trend - Emma wearing her locks in the high bun out in Germany on Friday night while promoting her new movie and Kerri-Anne to the AACTA awards in December.
While many stars choose to play with a fake fringe to create the look, Mr Nader says the look can be just as effective with real hair.
'For those of you not wanting to make a purchase and want to take baby steps here, ask your hairdresser to cut in some shorter pieces skimming only around the forehead area,' Mr Nader said.
'By doing it this way you get a taste of having shorting pieces that blend into the rest of your haircut and you can camouflage them easily.'
