She's looking Dangerous! Beyonce takes inspiration from Michael Jackson's look on 1993 World Tour for raunchy Super Bowl 50 performance outfit

She strutted onto the stage wearing a black and gold ensemble which showcased her taut curves in the best possible way.

But many of the viewers of the Super Bowl 50 were no doubt thinking they had seen Beyonce's outfit somewhere before - and they would have been right.

The costume she did her stunning performance for the half time show on Sunday made more than a nod to the King of Pop Michael Jackson - and his 1993 Dangerous World Tour.

The singer wore the same black and gold colour palate, and even appeared to have the same amo style embellishments across her chest.

Interestingly, Michael's tour was sponsored by Pepsi, the same soft drink company which was bringing the Super Bowl half time entertainment to the masses.

MJ's Dangerous Tour was his second around the globe and included 69 performances. All proceeds went to a number of charities.

She showed off her long lean legs in fishnet tights which had a black garter feature.

Performing her latest song Formation, she made sure she kept her footing in a pair of black heeled boots which featured gold laces.

Many GIFs surfaced of just how into her performance she got facially after her 2013 Super Bowl outing - and it looked like there might be a few more after her showcase at the 2016 game.

But it wasn't just Beyonce's look which made a stir - as the Run The World singer's  backing dancer's outfit's caused a few to draw some comparisons

Wearing sexed up military garb, their afro's and headwear caused many to draw the comparison with the political group the Black Panther Party, from the late 1960's.

The party was founded in 1966 in Oakland California, by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale.

The revolutionary black nationalist and socialist organization was active in the U.S from 1966 until 1982.

They were known for wearing black beret's which were part of their signature attire.

Beyonce also strutted her stuff on stage with other half-time performers Coldplay and Bruno Mars.

New song: Beyoncé surprised fans on Saturday by dropping a video to Formation on Saturday. It opens with the singer on top of a flooded New Orleans police car, pointing to the state of Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina

It was on Saturday she dropped a video to Formation, which features flood-ridden New Orleans and a line of white cops facing a hooded little boy.

'Let's get in formation... Prove to me you got some co-ordination,' she chants before the camera pans over graffiti that says: 'stop shooting us'.

Within minutes of the video's release, Twitter was awash with reactions to the fiercely political lyrics and scenes - and a cameo role from the singer's four-year-old daughter with Jay Z, Blue Ivy.

It was still trending worldwide on Sunday as the Super Bowl - the most watched TV event of the year - approached.
