Oh say can you see... an amazing outfit? How Lady Gaga created the perfect patriotic ensemble for the Super Bowl, from a tailor-made Gucci suit to her star-spangled shoes

No one can deny that Lady Gaga has come a long way from meat dresses, plastic skirts, and cartoonish headdresses - especially after watching last night's Super Bowl.

The 29-year-old signer certainly stunned with her beautiful take on the National Anthem, but it was her patriotic outfit that sent fashion fans' jaws to the floor.

Gaga was full-on glam in head-to-toe Gucci, down to her custom-made red-white-and-blue heels.

To start off, the star glittered all over in a one-of-a-kind two-piece Gucci lurex suit, which was, of course, made just for her.

'When Gaga asked me to create an outfit for the #SuperBowl50, I was very honored and I went for red, pure energy for an energetic woman performing on an energizing event,' Creative Director Alessandro Michele wrote on Instagram.

Gaga herself was obviously a fan, sharing a string of photos of herself in the glitzy fitted number.

Command some attention like Lady Gaga in a red glitter blazer

Lady Gaga set the field ablaze with not only her Star Spangled banner but also with that glittery cherry red pantsuit with matching Americana platforms.

The siren rocked a custom made Gucci suit and shoes and looked as patriotic as apple pie at the Superbowl.

Although you won't be able to purchase this one of a kind suit online, you can still browse Gucci's luxe designs at Neiman Marcus. You don't necessarily have to wear this look as a coordinating set to make a statement, so why not pair this blazer with a sleek pair of dark denims for a preppy but shining night out look.

But the Gucci goodness didn't end there. Gaga also slipped her feet into a pair of seriously tall platform stilettos, also created just for the special night.

'Inspired by the American flag, @ladygaga chose a contrasting pair of #Gucci cat head and spike studded platform heels for her @SuperBowl50 performance. One in blue glitter, the other in red and white,' Alessandro added.

The spiked, mismatched heels also featured cut-outs and mouths full of gold teeth on the insoles.

The queen of all things theatrical didn't exactly slouch on the make-up, either. As Tyra Banks tweeted, Gaga 'gave sparkle voice AND eyes'.

Make-up artist Sarah Tanno lent some glitter magic to the look, covering Gaga's lids with a thick red glitter they described as 'Star Spangled Red-Slipper eyes'.

Her nails were also topped off with shimmery blue press-ons, which the signer showed off on her newly-launched Snapchat account.

Finally, stylist Frederic Aspiras gave her that voluminous, slicked-back hair, providing the perfect finishing touch for a seriously patriotic look.
