She's thrown her hat into the baking ring very publically by signing up to be a part of The Great Sport Relief Bake Off.

And house-proud Geri Horner appears to be very confident ahead of her appearance on the show next week, as she showed off her baking skills on Instagram on Sunday.

Taking to social media to give her 141,000 fans a glimpse of her skills in the kitchen, the 43-year-old former Spice Girl treated her followers to a quick look at her flamiche - a savoury cheese tart.

Geri, who is due to appear on the next instalment of the charity version of The Great British Bake Off, looked positively delighted with the results of her recipe in one of the two videos she posted to her account.

Stooping down to remove the tart from the 'slow heat' oven on her AGA, the star (formerly known as Ginger Spice) beamed with pride as she gently pulled the golden tart out.

Appearing almost slightly surprised by how well the savoury French tart looks, Geri giggles excitedly as she announces the completed bake as a 'flamiche'.

Giggling as she struggles to remember the correct name of the dish, the singer is clearly delighted with the bake - regardless of the pronunciation of its French name.

The second video shows a close-up of Geri's unbkaed pie, and features a roll-call of ingredients for the tasty looking dish - although she shows her trouble with French by pronouncing Camembert cheese, as 'Camemberg'.

Clearly revelling in her role as a self-appointed domestic Goddess - something she has been keen to pursue since finding happiness with F1 Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner  - the former pop star appears almost ecstatic with the results of the bake.

Dressed in a casual, almost country look, the mother-of-one is dressed in a warm black jumper, which bears a rust and white print pattern.

Teaming her jumper with a black pencil skirt and tights, the former Wannabe hit-maker can be seen sporting her auburn locks in a swept over fringe.

But while Geri's followers appeared to be impressed with her skills, the former chart-topper will have a tougher time convincing Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry of her talent when she appears on the charity spin-off of Bake Off.

Hoping to follow in the footsteps of the past two winners, Samantha Cameron and Kimberley Walsh, Geri will be pitting her baking skills against the likes of journalist John Simpson, footballer Jermaine Jenas and fellow former pop vixen, Louise Redknapp.

Episode three of  The Great Sport Relief Bake Off will be aired on BBC One, February 17 at 8:00pm.
