Close bond! Apple holds hands with Blue Ivy in cute Instagram snap as they support Chris Martin and Beyonce at Super Bowl 50

Their parents are the best of friends.

So it’s no wonder Apple Martin and Blue Ivy Carter have developed a close bond, with the pair holding hands as they headed to the big Super Bowl show on Sunday.

Ahead of the show-stopping performance, Gwyneth Paltrow took to her Instagram page to share a sweet snap of her 11-year-old daughter spend some quality time with Beyonce and Jay Z's four-year-old tot.

She captioned it: '#superbowl50 jacket game', referring to their sartorial choices.

The image sees the girls bringing their fashion A-game, with Apple sporting a navy and turquoise bomber with black and white stars across the shoulder - perhaps a nod to her father's famous hit A Sky Full Of Stars.

While adorable Blue was unmissable in on-trend jacket with electric neon zig zags.

Gwyneth, 43, and son Moses, 9, were spotted heading into Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara as they prepared to watch Coldplay's big halftime show.

The Oscar-winner appeared to be excited for the show, flashing a big smile as she held her son's hand as they entered the stadium.

Gwyneth wore a white top with a high neckline, and left her blonde hair down and parted in the center.

She protected her eyes from the glare with round sunglasses, and carried a handbag over her shoulder.

Her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was also seen arriving at the venue ahead of the halftime show. 

The 38-year-old British singer appeared to be in great spirits, smiling as he headed into the stadium via the VIP entrance. 

Despite the unusually sunny weather, Chris bundled up in a black beanie and matching scarf.

He wore a white shirt, black sweat pants and carried a leather bag and what appeared to be a laptop.

Pop star Beyonce also shared images from her rehearsal at the stadium, on the field with Blue. 

The star wears a black leather outfit that she also sported on stage, but the stadium is empty, suggesting the family photos are from a Saturday dress rehearsal.

The singer, 34, gazes into the distance as husband Jay-Z, 46, takes a photo of her and their daughter from behind. 

The rapper wears a grey hoodie under a black jacket, while Blue Ivy wears a black coat as she looks up at her mom.

Appropriately, Chris Martin previously explained that Coldplay's halftime show would represent the past, present and future. 

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, he joked about how the band would fit their many hits into just 12 minutes.

'We decided we’d play all our No.1s and then work out how to fill the other 10 minutes,' said Martin.

The Coldplay frontman reiterated his love for Beyonce, explaining it was a nod to her past stellar performance at last year's Super Bowl. 

'We love Beyonce’s music,' said Chris. 'She’s one of our all-time favorites and she’s one of the greatest performers I’ve ever witnessed.'

Chris added that the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles would be representing the 'future' aspect of the performance. 

He put on a colourful performance, kicking off with Viva La Vida, followed by Paradise in a medley of their greatest hits. 

Beyonce put on a leggy display in an energetic dance performance with similarly clad backing dancers.

Gwyneth also shared some Instagram photos from inside the stadium as she watched the halftime show.

She posted a photo of the crowd spelling out 'Believe in Love,' adding 'it comes it all forms.'
