'The people voted in favour of a normal body, complete with cellulite, varicose veins, stretch-marks and a few extra pounds, and boobs that lost their firmness after breastfeeding, which is natural.'

The winner revealed how she had almost pulled out of the contest after a wave of insults via Facebook were sent her way after she was nominated.

Mar also confessed how she was always called 'fatty' at school and was the constant victim of bullying due to her weight.

After winning the contest, the victor wrote on her Facebook page thanking her supporters, saying: 'Thank you friends, for worrying about what they say about me.

'But stay attentive - this is my campaign for the inclusion and acceptance of diverse bodies. And it has left the country open-mouthed that 'the fat girl' has won.

'Well this fat girl also has her non-conventional beauty. Nobody should tell us what is beautiful and what is ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.'

Her crowning and campaign have inspired women across the nation, who celebrate her victory as one for real women everywhere.

One user wrote: 'I only hope some of you rubs off on me and I can wear a bikini this summer and forget my complexes.'
