  • Last week, rising fashion star Kaia debuted a new campaign for rocker-chic label Chrome Hearts
  • The accessories brand also counts Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Hudson, and Rihanna as fans, while Gigi and Bella Hadid have modeled for it in the past
  • In September 2015, Kaia made her Fashion Week front row debut at Public School's spring/summer 2016 show

Cindy Crawford's teenage daughter Kaia Gerber is on a very fashionable roll.

Just days after starring in a stunning campaign for rocker-chic label Chrome Hearts, the 14-year-old has been revealed as the latest face of high-end brand Alexander Wang - prompting a flurry of excited speculation about whether she will take to the catwalk for the label at New York Fashion Week later this month.

In a post shared on a newly-launched Alexander Wang Instagram account, named Wang Squad after the theme of the soon-to-be-released Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, Kaia, who is Cindy's second child with husband Rande Gerber, appears in a Polaroid-style snap, wearing a semi-sheer striped tee, while gazing straight into the camera lens.

While little other information about the campaign is available, it seems Kaia is certainly going to be in good company as far as her co-stars are concerned.

Fellow fashion stars Anna Ewers and Lexi Boling are just some of the other faces featured on the Instagram account, while musicians like Travis Scott and hip hop artist Makonnen are also included.

Unsurprisingly the news of Kaia's inclusion in the campaign has quickly sparked speculation that she will take to the runway in the brand's upcoming show at New York Fashion Week, marking her catwalk debut.

'Kaia Gerber is just 14 & she has already scored a place in NYFW,' one person tweeted, before adding: 'Cindy Crawford's family is blessed.'

Another said: 'Kaia Gerber must be headed to the catwalk, right?'

Last year, the teen made a splash when took center stage on her first Fashion Week front row at Public School's spring/summer 2016 show in September.

At the time Kaia, who was signed by IMG Models in July, shared a runway snap of a model in a while gown with her 180,000 Instagram followers, while IMG Models executive Ivan Bart also posted a photo of his new client at the presentation, juxtaposing it with an old shot of Cindy walking at former designer Todd Oldham's NYFW show, proving once again just how much of a resemblance Kaia bears to her famous mother.

'Another generational moment,' he wrote of the picture, which shows the incredible likeness between Kaia and the 49-year-old fashion veteran.

A role in a runway show at NYFW would certainly be the cherry on top of what has been a brilliant year for Kaia's career so far.

Just last week, the teen starred in a stunning campaign for high-end label Chrome Hearts, looking like a total pro in the images, which saw her posing in the brand's accessories.

As an uncanny mini-me version f her 50-year-old supermodel mom, Kaia has certainly been coming into her own in the fashion industry — but it sure doesn't hurt to have connections.

In the campaign, Kaia is seen posing on a Manhattan street and inside an unfinished room — part of one of Chrome Hearts' six boutiques in the US.

For several photos, Kaia models a wide, edgy belt over a black leather trench coat that reveals her long legs. She also gives good face in two pairs of sunglasses.

Moving on? Cindy, 49, said during a magazine interview published last weekend that she plans to retire when she turns 50 on February 20, but she quickly backtracked in an Instagram post shared a few days later

Moving on? Cindy, 49, said during a magazine interview published last weekend that she plans to retire when she turns 50 on February 20, but she quickly backtracked in an Instagram post shared a few days later

Interestingly, the launch of Kaia's new campaign came just one day after her mother Cindy took to Instagram to refute suggestions that she plans to retire when she hits the age of 50 on February 20.

Cindy told United Airlines' Rhapsody magazine over the weekend that she wants to 'move on' from modelling when she reaches the milestone age, but the next day the beauty backpedaled on that remark in a long Instagram post.

The mother of two wrote: 'Every year, I tell my kids I'm retiring. It's a running joke in our family. And yet every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me.

'While it's true that I'm eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family - I'm not making any final statements (not all headlines tell the whole story!).'

She continued: 'I have loved being part of the fashion industry for the past 30 years - and if that time has taught me anything, it's this: never say never. Thanks for all the support, I'm so excited for what 2016 hold! xo Cindy.'
