Teenage girl charged after police pursuit

A 15-year-old girl will face court following the police pursuit of a stolen car in Sydney's west.

Police say that at about 3.15pm on Wednesday officers attempted to stop a Holden Cruze sedan in Villawood for a random breath test but the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated.

They say the driver was a 15-year-old girl who stopped in the car park of a Villawood unit block then ran from police before being arrested.

The vehicle had been stolen from a Hoxton Park home last month.

The girl has been charged with police pursuit (Skye's law), take and drive conveyance, drive while unlicensed and drive in a dangerous manner.

She was refused bail and is due to appear before Children's Court on Thursday.
