When he woke up and noticed the items were gone, he called the police. Martinez was arrested Thursday and arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court. She has since been released on bond. Since December, it's been revealed that she preyed on a member of family that owns a Brooklyn oil-company, the heir to a fortune made on selling fireworks and the manager of a Midtown seafood restaurant.

The billionaire owner of the Los Angeles Rams and his billionaire Walmart heiress wife have purchased the largest ranch in the United States. Stan Kroenke, who owns the Los Angeles Rams and is also the largest shareholder in the English football club Arsenal, closed a deal to buy the 535,000-acre W.T. Waggoner Ranch in Texas. Kroenke is married to Ann Walton whose father Bud was an early business partner in Walmart, which was founded by his brother Sam. The ranch had been listed at $725million, but it is not being reported how much was paid for the property. Kroenke is reportedly worth $6.3billion while his wife is worth $4.9billion.

They were arrested on Monday.The nanny, who has not been identified, claims she was forced to work from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day. She was made to clean, cook, and care for the children.

The most famous car chase in American history took center stage in Tuesday's new episode of American Crime Story: The People V. OJ Simpson. All the action takes place on June 17, 1994, when shortly after noon and well over an hour after he was supposed to have turned himself into police, Simpson got into his friend Al Cowlings' (played by Malcolm-Jamal Warner) white Ford Bronco (the same make and model as his the one Simpson owned) and briefly went on the run. Aaren O'Connor was sat in her car outside her Chicago apartment on Friday night speaking to dad David when she was shot. During the conversation she started repeatedly saying 'my head hurts', but neither of them knew what was wrong. At that point she hadn't realized she had been shot in the head, and neither did her father, who was concerned something might happen to her in the city that has seen a spike in gun violence. But a short time later she was found unresponsive in her car by her roommate. She was taken to hospital but could not be saved and passed away on Sunday.

Rory posted a photo of the pastor and his wife standing by Joey in her hospice bed, writing; 'Blessed w a beautiful visit and time of prayer last night from our sweet friends Mike & Sally Rosser. Investigators found that the fire (upper left) was caused by a hoverboard. The 4,000 square feet house in Nashville, Tennessee (main) burnt down completely. The hoverboard that caused the fire (bottom left) was damaged so badly that officials will probably not be able to determine whether it was charging when it caught fire. The two teenagers, who have not been named, escaped as the girl, 16, jumped from a window on the second floor. Her brother, 14, climbed down a ladder with his father's help. This is one of dozens of potential hoverboard fires across the country. A federal investigation links hoverboards to at least 40 fires in 19 states.

A natural Florida spring was forced to close as more than 300 manatees (pictured) crowded the area seeking protection from the chilly waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Cold stress can be fatal for manatees and they could even suffer hypothermia in waters colder than 65 degrees. Three Sisters Springs has 72-degree waters where the manatees will be safe in the meantime.

4 week old pit bull puppy Tigger - son of 12 stone 'celebrity' dog Hulk - is taught to swim in a bathtub by owner Marlon Grennan of New Hampshire protection dog business Dark Dynasty K9s. They teach all their puppies to swim in preparation for life as protection dogs. Former boxer Grennan, 29, from New Hampshire, said: 'It is part of imprinting that fearlessness in the dogs so they are ready for any situation. Dark Dynasty K9s specialise in training elite protection dogs for the police, celebrities and billionaire clients around the world.

Dionne Younce, 28, was let go from her position at Allen D Nease High School in Ponte Vedra following an investigation into her sexual misconduct. A number of students - including members of the football team - came forward claiming she had sent them nude pictures. In one, she was allegedly only wearing a bra. One student the communications were 'casual' at first but then turned sexual. She then told the boy, who has not been named, not to talk about it as she didn't want to get caught.

A strange skeleton(left) that washed up on a beach in New Zealand has piqued the interest of locals who struggled to work out what type of sea creature the remains belong to. The skeleton, which measures in at just over two metres, was spotted by veterinarian Maria Lombard(right) at Waitarere Beach, north of Wellington, on Tuesday. The remains appeared to be made up of cartilage, boasting a large dragon like head and a long bony spine, which Ms Lombard initially thought could belong to an eel.
