Going, going, gone! Hair extension-loving Katie Price goes for the chop as she hacks her blonde tresses into elegant shoulder-skimming bob

She famously spent £22,000 on one trip to Los Angeles to have hair extensions fitted.

Yet Katie Price's days of artificial locks appear to be behind her as she revealed a much shorter, more sophisticated style on Instagram on Tuesday. 

The 37-year-old model posted three progression images of her trim - both the original do, the straight trim and the styled bouncy bob.

Katie looked sensational in the stunning images which saw her pout into the camera in an expert fashion - channelling two decades of modelling prowess into the shot. 

The first image showed the ends of the stunning star's tresses looking somewhat damaged and wispy - meaning her hair was prepped for a cut. 

In the second shot Katie showed her hair straight after the chop in which she boasted asymmetric ends with a longer length framing her chin and tumbling from a centre parting.

The polished and final look was perfectly styled, bouncy curls which looked stunning against her doe like eyelashes and glossy, plumped up pout.

Katie's hair has been a conversation piece for many years due to her love of the deepest raven tresses to the brightest bounciest blondes and all things in between.

In 2011 she demanded compensation from a top Los Angeles hair salon after she spent £11,000 on hair colourings and extensions that she claims were botched, leaving her hair so damaged it began falling out. 

She also had her own range of haircare products as well as a host of electric hair salon good, released in 2007.

While Katie has been littering Instagram with snaps of her own hair, she has caused yet another stir after posting a defiant snap of her eight-year-old daughter Princess with straightened hair.

The mum-of-five took to Instagram to share a picture of her eldest daughter with her naturally curly locks in a sleek style, writing: 'Princess so lucky to have natural long blonde hair #family.'

The image instantly sparked a discussion among fans over whether the former glamour model should be altering her daughter's looks at such a young age.

One commentor wrote: 'Would be better if u stopped putting straighteners on it,' while another added: 'Not naturally straight though! Please don't ruin her beautiful curls!'

The new picture comes just two months after Katie upset followers by treating Princess to a makeover while she was supporting her mum in the Sleeping Beauty pantomime in Woking.

Also sporting her mother's Wicked Fairy headpiece for the pictures and what looked like false nails as they played dress-up, not all of Katie's followers found the images to be in good taste.
