Little scene stealer! Ben Stiller is eclipsed as son Quinlin pulls a character pose at Zoolander 2 premiere with his family

Ben Stiller's son Quinlin appears to be following in his father's famous footsteps in the pranks department.

The 50-year-old funny man was happy to share the purple carpet with his family at the New York City premiere of Zoolander 2 but it was his 10-year-old who stole the punchline.

Ben's boy had the stage as he pulled a memorable model pose that would have made even Derek Zoolander glance twice.

The tween actually acted out his first role at three years old when he helped to voice the part of his Ben's character, Alex, as a cub in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

For this star-turnout, Quinlin was suited up in grey trousers and navy blazer with white shirt and striped tie that perhaps the exertion had loosened up.

At least Ben had a winning neat look in his favour while dressed in all black from the suit and shirt to the tie and shoes.

Enjoying the moment: Quinlin wasn't the only one apparently trying to hog the spotlight as Christine and Ella did a fair job at that too

Ben's attire had the added benefit of butterflies worked into the fabric, a sign that his good humour was still intact.

The actor's wife Christine Taylor looked glamorous in a green embossed and strapless frock with a knee-skimming hemline.

The 44-year-old actress, who reprises her role as Matilda Jeffries in the flick, added beige strappy heels to highlight her toned calves.

Christine wore her long dark blonde hair swept back and styled into cascading waves while dangling earrings peeked from the tresses.

Not to be outdone by this showy crowd, the couple's 13-year-old daughter Ella looked lovely in a black and purple petal patterned frock.

Zoolander 2, which comes 15 years after Zoolander became a sleeper hit in 2001, brings back Ben and Owen Wilson as Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald respectively.
